A Healthy Lifestyle and Sunday Morning Coffee

I just spent a week at the beach house with my girlfriends and our healthy lifestyle boot camp was a huge success! And so much fun!

It has been the most incredible week! A wedding with some of our closest friends, a week packed with exercise, healthy eating, and tons of laughter. And lots of wonderful memories made to remember forever.

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Let’s get started!

About Me

The bike path in Ventura along the Pacific Ocean.

I think it is safe to say that our healthy lifestyle week at the beach was a huge success.

We started off the week with a bit too much exercise but it still worked out great!

We walked four miles on the beach, took a 16-mile bike ride up the coast, and played five games of pickleball. That was only day one!

I managed to ride almost every day and with a bike path like this, I absolutely loved it.

I love this app that tracks my rides. It’s called Strava and it also tracks hiking and much more.

We also ate really healthy and focused on protein, healthy recipes, and hydration.

I like that we prepared a lot of bowls, which included cooked chicken, fish, or beef, sauteed vegetables, rice, lettuce, and often some avocado!

Carbs were rarely discussed (other than the fact we had to stop eating so many of them) and maintaining a happy outlook was talked about every single day.

I never imagined the week would be this powerful in changing my daily outlook and habits. It was simply amazing!

My Latest Project

After spending a week focusing on a healthy lifestyle I am going to try to continue to enjoy exercising outdoors. I never really appreciated how positive and great exercising outdoors affected my mental outlook. It is incredible!

I absolutely love my new Tek e-bike and am so excited to ride as much as I can. As we are blessed with great weather in Southern California, biking is a perfect way to enjoy exercise outdoors.

Dave and I also spent an amazing weekend at La Costa attending one of our dearest friends’ son’s wedding. The wedding was incredible and I can’t stop thinking about wedding ideas for Michael and Ellie!

It seems like every week we have something new to celebrate. I am so blessed.

My Biggest Challenge This Week

Hydration is something that I really need to focus on. I have never been good at drinking enough water although this week I did a great job!

Hydration is something that I really need to focus on. I have never been good at drinking enough water although this week I did a great job!

There are two things I have discovered that I love to add to my water as they alter the taste a tiny bit which makes it easier to drink. The first is called TRUE LIME Water Enhancer and you can find it on Amazon. What’s in the packet? One real lime. That’s it.

It also comes in lemon, orange, grapefruit, and cherry.

I also like to add protein to my water and BariWise protein fruit drink is delicious. I like the flavor of Wild Berry. One packet has 15 grams of protein, 70 calories, and less than one gram of sugar.

This week's to do list.
