Summer Decor Finds and Sunday Morning Coffee

How could it already be halfway through the month of June? But, I must say, I’ve had a blast decorating with my new summer decor finds.

I have lots to share from the week, including a discovery I made about what is taking up a lot of my time every day! I am also absolutely thrilled that tomorrow I am heading up to spend some time with my new grandson so be prepared for lots of photos! Here’s to a great week!

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Let’s get started!

About Me

I did an interesting thing this past week. I took a look at how I spend my time during the workday and learned something very interesting.

For those of you who aren’t aware, I stream live on Amazon Live almost every weekday. In fact, often I stream two times a day.

And guess what? It takes much more time out of my day than I ever imagined. Why?

Well, other than the 45 minutes I am streaming live, it takes a lot of time to prepare! I have to plan the topic for the live stream, select the items, and set up all of the items for the live stream. Often I have to prepare for a demo of something, such as making homemade pasta, showing how to decorate a cake, etc. I also have to create the software for the stream (or steams) that day which involves adding photos and videos.

Ok, I am getting tired of just writing about this.

At least I have a studio in my home dedicated to my Live broadcasts with two screens, two huge lights, two cameras, and all of my items to share.

So now that I know how much time this takes out of my day, am I going to keep hosting so many Amazon Lives?

Absolutely!

Why?

Well first off, they are fun. I like sharing the items I love to use every day and it’s fun to learn more about most of the products I share. It makes me nervous when a lot of people are watching but it is exciting at the same time. The Livestreams are also a very important source of my income.

If you haven’t joined me on a LIVE before, you can watch my Amazon Lives here. They are all recorded so if you don’t catch them live you can still catch them.

Just be prepared for the unexpected. Yes, a blender top has come off and squirted all over me. Yes, I have made homemade pasta that I didn’t refrigerate and it stuck in the machine. And sometimes I get the giggles, but I can’t help it!

Live broadcasts are so much fun! But I now know I need to make them more efficient.

My Latest Project

My Latest Project

A newly refreshed living room with light couches, furniture, and accents.

I have been decorating our home for summer and I don’t ever remember having this much fun decorating with summer decor. I love the lighter and brighter feel in my home and I have spent days moving stuff out of our house for a cleaner look!

There are so many reasonably priced and awesome summer decor items and I love every single one of them. Today I am sharing my favorites with you!

The Beach House Summer Decor Finds

The remodel of our beach house is finally done and adding the decor was so much fun. My style is Modern Coastal Vintage (I totally made up that term) and I love it. Here are some of my favorite purchases for the beach house.

On this blog, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you make a purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link.

A newly refreshed living room with light couches, furniture, and accents.

Our living room feels so different because I lightened everything in the room! I restyled the bookcases and got rid of the dark items (and books). The two new swivel chairs are perfect for reading. The Frame TV has been wonderful and as expected, we are spending so much more time enjoying our new living room.

It’s not really new. It’s just refreshed but feels like now!

Our Family Room Summer Decor Finds

A dining table in a family room with white, brown, and orange plates, copper accents, amber colored glasses, and a faux pinkish orange hydrangea centerpiece. A white couch and assorted pillows and a vintage hanging chandelier are also in the family room.

Our family room feels brighter and the pop of orange has really warmed it up for summer. I love my new amber water glasses as they are the perfect color and size. I am sure you will be seeing a lot of them on the tables I will be styling for the rest of the year!

My Biggest Challenge This Week

I have absolutely no challenges this week because tomorrow I am heading to Northern California to see my grandson!

Charlotte and Andrew had some photos taken and these photos of Graham with Mimi and Dug are priceless! OMG. I love them.

Plus, my youngest son Michaell has moved to Northern California and he and Ellie live near Andrew, Charlotte, and Graham.

Matt is up next and will be making his way out to California very soon. I am so excited. My family will all soon be on the west coast … in California!

The entire family will be at the beach house for the week of the 4th. This is our first gathering of everyone since the remodel. I cannot wait!

My dream has finally come true.
