This view is inside our Waco Airbnb.

I remodeled this one hundred year old home and it was a huge project. But I love every inch of it. (Swipe left to see the before.)

I haven’t been to Waco in almost a year and it’s been so hard! Some day, hopefully soon, my best friend and I will take a road trip and drive to Waco from LA.

I cannot wait.

If you read my blog post today then you know that I love flowering branches. I can usually find them at Trader Joe’s or in our yard.

If you can’t find any then you can have some like what we have on the dining room table in our Waco home.

They are homemade.

Go to my blog for lots of tips on flowering branches and for the DIY on how to make these.

I love having flowering branches in our home.

It's such a wonderful way to bring the outdoors in and add color and a beautiful scent to any room.

It’s time to think about bringing some branches inside to enjoy the flowering buds.

On the blog today, I shared everything you need to know about flowering branches.

You can learn which trees have the best buds, how to “force flowering”, timing, and where to find them.

I also shared how you can make flowering branches too.

It’s a warm sunny day in Southern California.

It’s 86 degrees outside and it’s January.

What the heck?

Would I rather have snow? Yes!
Do I like the warm weather? Kinda

Obviously I am good with any weather. It’s just weird that I am thinking we should head to the beach to enjoy sitting on the beach.

And yet I really wish we could have snow.

If you are sledding this weekend or building a snowman, remember that I wish we had snow here too!

Today I am sharing some fun winter decorating ideas I added to our living room.

I know you won’t be surprised to learn that I added pink and some beautiful florals to create a light and airy space.

I have also made a promise to myself that we will use our living room more often. It’s a great sized room and yet ... well ... we rarely use it.

What is that about?

Do any of you do the same thing?

I did order a small table to create a fun “game table” area and I cannot wait for it to arrive.

I also painted some very fun glass bottles. Actually, I didn’t paint them. Rather, I “swished” them.

Swipe left to see what they look like.

Then head to my blog for all of the fun details and the DIY. Just tap on the blue link in my Instagram profile to find my blog.

I also featured six other bloggers and their winter decor on my blog post today! Tap on the photo to meet them!

Today I shared some pretty cool rose gold candlesticks that I made yesterday.

Swipe left to see the before and after.

It’s amazing how a little bit of metal leaf can change the look of some inexpensive wooden candlesticks.

I am exhausted! I spent most of the day cleaning out our butlers pantry.

Unfortunately our butlers pantry did not come with a butler so I get the pleasure of organizing this room.

I have since moved to the kitchen as that is where most of the “homeless” items from the butlers pantry are now piling high on my island.

I am not sure where to put them as they should not have been in the butlers pantry.

They will get donated, thrown away, or moved down to the basement.

Most of the organization in the butlers pantry involved dinner plates. Does anyone care to guess how many different sets of dinner plates are owned by yours truly?

Next week is going to be a fun week of organizing. I have lots of “embarrassing before photos” to share.

Get ready for lots of laughs!

I made the most incredible Rose Gold Candlesticks yesterday.

I used wooden candlesticks and covered them with Rose Gold Metal Leaf.

By now you might be thinking I am a bit obsessed with metal leaf.

Well, I am!

I have done a lot of projects with metal leaf and I love them all.

So why not try something else?

This time I goofed.

As soon as I painted the fixative adhesive onto the wood candlesticks I knew I was in trouble.

The wood sucked up all of the glue and it disappeared.

Head to my blog to see how I salvaged this DIY.

Because I absolutely love how they turned out.

Let me know what you think.
