It’s Easy Elegance Wednesdays and I am sharing some of the tables I have set for fall. ⁣ ⁣ Now I know it’s still hot and technically summertime. ⁣ ⁣ But if you were thinking about planning ahead for fall then this might be something you want to read. ⁣ ⁣ If you look closely in this photo you might think I have lost my mind because I posted a table with a Christmas plate. ⁣ ⁣ But this really was a table I set last fall. I am the “mix and match queen” and I decided to include a Spode Gold Christmas Tree plate. ⁣ ⁣ I should probably mention that my guest who was seated in that spot also has a Christmas Eve birthday. ⁣ ⁣ Today on the blog I am sharing a lot of tips about setting a table for fall. I have mentioned many times that I was very determined to add a wrap around porch to our Waco Airbnb home. ⁣ ⁣ My idea was almost completely axed when my contractor told me the only way to make it work was to take off the existing roof and start over. ⁣ ⁣ This was an expensive decision but I am so happy I said yes. ⁣ ⁣ You see, there is a gorgeous hundred year old oak tree that really wants to be admired from our wrap around porch. ⁣ ⁣ Now that it is done I know that it was one hundred percent the right thing to do. ⁣ ⁣ And I now tell everyone that from the start I always knew we would have a wrap around porch. (Just don’t tell anyone that it almost didn’t happen.)⁣ ⁣ Swipe left for porch construction photos. ⁣ ⁣ Our porch is now outfitted with amazing furniture from @bedbathandbeyond and it is important to note that all of the furniture arrived in April. ⁣ ⁣ Which means I haven’t even seen it in person. ⁣ ⁣ So I am living vicariously from the photos. We had a very fun family dinner in our backyard last weekend. ⁣ ⁣ So I thought I would share one more photo to share from the dinner party. ⁣ I chose this one because I wanted to make sure you all noticed the Dodgers game playing In the background inside the house. During our party. ⁣ ⁣ Did it bother me? ⁣ ⁣ Absolutely not. ⁣ ⁣ Since I had my back to the tv, I was the one who kept asking for score updates during dinner. ⁣ ⁣ So why am I bringing this to your attention?⁣ ⁣ Because entertaining is fun when you are having fun. It’s about being creative and not trying to be perfect. It’s about enjoying what’s important to you and your family. ⁣ ⁣ Thus, if you (and your guests) are all Dodgers fans then please know it’s ok to have the game on in the background. ⁣ ⁣ (I do want to add that I love being a grown up. Because never in a million years would my parents let me have the game on during a dinner party. Or any dinner for that matter.)⁣ ⁣ But that’s what makes entertaining fun. I wanted to share another photo from last nights dinner party. ⁣ ⁣ This one is pretty amazing. ⁣ ⁣ The light is a little over saturated but I don’t care. What an evening!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Last night was magical and I loved every minute of it. We hosted Dave’s family for dinner and I loved being able to create a magical evening. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It was relaxing and fun and really special. The food was delish but casual and I loved it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ On the blog today I shared how to create an evening like this and the hanging lanterns, place cards, napkins and more. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ My daughter in law Charlotte made the place cards.
