Welcome Summer and Sunday Morning Coffee

Memorial Day weekend is the milestone that says, Welcome Summer! Our beach house is finally finished, so bring on summer!

Beach house construction for a year, combined with a wet winter and a non-existent spring, means I am more than ready for some warm summer days. Today, I thought it would be fun to share our summer plans and I would love to hear yours as well, so please pop them into the comments!

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Let’s get started!

About Me

The finished beach house kitcehn with white cabinets, countertops, appliances, and an island.

Why am I so excited about this summer?

Because the beach house is done and I will likely spend weeks at a time up there! We will be spending more than 50% of our time up there and this summer it might be closer to 75%.

Last summer the house was under construction and we couldn’t spend a single day at our beach house. So I am ready!

Can you believe the difference in the front of our house? You can see the glass on the top 3rd story deck of our beach house. What a difference!

  1. It looks fantastic Leslie 🙌👏👏
We are also starting off summer this weekend with my niece getting married today here in Texas. Its been so great to be able to see family and friends we haven’t been able to see for years. After the wedding my two brothers and my sisters-in-laws are coming down to visit me and my new Texas house near Waco. We are going to go to all things Magnolia next week for a fun day of site seeing and shopping.

  2. The transformation of your Summer home is wonderful. It turned out great with all the windows that give you all the views of the beach and ocean and the 3rd floor deck to entertain and relax. It was a big project, but well worth it. May you have many years and memories going forward.
