Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Let’s get started!

About Me

Me and my sisters and sisters-in-law

I tried something last month and I wanted to share it with you. Why?

Because it really worked.

If you ask most people, they would agree that I am a pretty happy person. But I have my moments, as I think most of you might too.

So I got thinking. Can you actually be happier if you just try to be happy?

Could I smile more? Could I giggle more? Was it possible to create a happier environment for all of the people around me if I made more of an effort?

So I tried it and it worked.

Like every single time.

I even shared this concept with my girlfriends at our Healthy Lifestyle retreat at the beach house last week. And I think they are trying it too.

At least we are sending lots of sweet text messages about being happy.

I even did a little research and came to find out, that a happier attitude leads to happiness through positive emotions, increased resilience, better relationships, improved physical health, and heightened motivation.

Who knew, right?

By focusing on the positive aspects of life, we experience joy and contentment, cope better with stress, attract positive social interactions, enjoy better health, and feel more motivated to pursue fulfilling activities, all contributing to an overall sense of happiness.

It seemed like this might be worth sharing.

We would all like to be happier, right? And it looks like we can.

My Latest Project

Engraving a canvas bag on my xTool M1 laser cutter.

I have been “playing” with my laser cutter and I discovered something really cool.

Are you ready for this?

My xTool M! laser cutter can engrave fabric.

Wait, what?

I engraved this bag with a special message for my girlfriend’s birthday gift.

It’s so fun to add the words to the xTool Creative Space software, place the bag in the laser machine, and let it do all the work for you. It is amazing!

She loved it!

    My Biggest Challenge This Week

Dave and I at a weeing dressed in a balck coat, pants and a navy suit.
    Another wedding!

Things are getting busy and I am really trying to stay caught up.

I have a three-day Amazon Conference in San Diego next week (yay!) and a two-day wedding for a very dear family friend. We have two trips planned to Northern California in October to see Andrew, Charlotte, GRAHAM, Michael, Ellie, and maybe Matt!.

And my husband is finally in town and I am going out of town …

Plus, I need to start my holiday projects.

Don’t worry, I won’t be sharing them soon. I just need to start making them all.

Thank heavens I have a newly organized very large craft room to make that happen.

My new craft room on the third floor with vaulted ceilings, a Dreambox craft storing cabinet, a work table, and more.

Get ready for lots of new holiday decor, gifts, and easy DIY projects with my sewing machine, Cricut, and xTool Laser machine.

    • Finalize list of holiday DIY projects
    • Get to the beach and get back on the bike (my plans are to be there a lot!)
    • Create new healthy bowl recipes because I am getting bored with the ones I have

    1. Must admit I’m confused by the bag engraving. Is it painting/inking that in or embroidering with thread? I really couldn’t tell from the photo exactly what it was. Can you clarify?
