Time to Celebrate – Sunday Morning Coffee

|

It is countdown time! My family has arrived and I am cooking, baking, and cleaning like crazy. It is almost time to celebrate!

It feels almost surreal that the release date of the book is the day after tomorrow. It feels a little bit like Christmas morning to me. I am excited and also a little nervous but mainly excited. I can’t wait for the day to arrive and yet, I know it will all be over too quickly. I really want to savor this time to celebrate.

About Me

A Home to Share

Things are getting so busy!

The Launch Party is in two days and I am in full swing prepping the food. I decided to make all of the food, once again, and it’s a lot of work.

Because 250 people need a lot of food!

I was completely freaking out at one point so I stopped everything I was doing, and created my Color-Coded-Spreadsheet.

When you get my book, you will be able to understand why the Color Coded Spreadsheet is such an amazing tool when you are cooking for a big event!

Once I created this, I relaxed. Why? Because I knew exactly what I needed to do each day before the party. And I didn’t have to worry that I would forget anything!

The Menu

Time to Celebrate

You probably remember these cookies that I made a few weeks ago. What you don’t know is that I made two hundred more of these! These were the first desserts I made for the party!

I made some other fun cookies, but I don’t want to share everything and spoil it for those coming to the party. So you are going to have to wait.

And speaking of waiting, I cannot wait for you to see how I am going to display the desserts!

I made these amazing crackers. They are just so good! And there are over 300 of them!

We also made 175 crabcakes yesterday and a few more goodies. I promise to reveal everything after the Launch Party.

Something New

We filmed a commercial this week for four days!

It was fun and stressful and went very well. Now that we are done filming I can tell you that it was a holiday commercial for The Home Depot.

Home Depot is one of my favorite brands! I love them. And just so you know, the filming had nothing to do with my job. I am sorry that I am not able to share any of the sets that are in the commercial so that’s why you can’t see any details in our home.

I will let you all know when the commercial is out and on TV!

My Favorite Room This Week

Fall Decor Living Room

So, I don’t have a favorite room in our house this week. Why?

Because I love every room right now!

The house looks great (even after the filming), and everything is deep cleaned, organized, and ready for a party. The only issue is the weather for the Launch Party.

It is supposed to be 98 degrees on Tuesday and the backyard is already looking thirsty and tired. Oh well, if you are coming to the party, just don’t look too closely at my garden and flowers.
