Things are going to change around here for a couple of weeks! It’s going to get mighty pink as we share lots of Valentine’s day decor.

Season 2 Volume 4

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Today I am sharing my weekly thoughts about entertaining, decor, crafts, and recipes and all of my plans for Valentine’s Day decor, Valentine’s Day gifts, and Valentine’s Day pillows.

This is going to be fun.

Valentine’s Day Decor

Just when our home has been refreshed with new winter decor, in the most glorious blue and sage green color palette, I am going to make a change.

But it’s only temporary.

And it’s pink.

That is because Valentine’s day is around the corner and we all like to add some love and cheerful decor, crafts, and more in honor of the fun holiday.

So get ready for a couple of weeks of pink!

Valentine's Day Breakfast with Love

I have so many things planned for the next three weeks! More Valentine’s Day pillow ideas and crafts, three new recipes, two amazing dinner ideas for your Valentine, and more.

We are Waco Bound!

It has been way too long since I have been in Waco so next week my best friend and co-worker Maryliz and I are heading to Waco!

We have so many things to do but we are most excited that we will be spending the week with three amazingly talented bloggers! I can’t wait to let you know who will be there next week.

We have so many great things planned and I am so excited to head back to Waco again!

Waco Airbnb Fixer Upper

I cannot wait to give the house a “refresh” and it’s going to be so much fun. We are going to change the color palette and add some new art (painted by yours truly) and I cannot wait.

I remodeled our Waco home over two years ago and it was quite the project. It is now an Airbnb rental. To see more of the remodeling process, click here.

For those of you who have been following me this week then I am pretty sure you might guess that my favorite room this week in our home is my Craft Room!

Why?

Because it is organized!

Sport and Winter Home Decor in the Craft Room

If you missed my post this week, I reorganized everything, wrapped all of my fabrics on cardboard, and gave the craft room a refresh in my new winter palette.

And since my craft room is technically the old study (and just off the living room) it is a room that needs to stay more organized on a regular basis.

I have a new goal to work on that!

Fabric and Craft Storage

Look at my fabrics! I now can actually see the inventory of my fabrics so hopefully, I will stop buying more!

One of my favorite blogs to follow is Half Baked Harvest and Tiegen has once again shared an amazing recipe. This Cajun Garlic Butter Shrimp looks amazing and I cannot wait to make it!

If you don’t follow Half Baked Harvest then you need to run to her blog. She has the best recipes ever!

Organizing a Junk Drawer is a task we all could probably do right now. My dear friend KariAnne from Thistlewood shared her tips in How to Organize a Junk Drawer.

Here are some great Stamped and Stenciled Projects shared by A Beautiful Mess.

My friend Janine from Happy Happy Nester shared January Crafts for Adults and there are so many great ideas in her blog post!

It was such a wonderful week and thank you all so much for ready my blog. Wow! It was amazing.

My best friend Martha (who has no idea who I am) shared these crayon hearts. I remember making these a gazillion years ago and I might have to make them again.

Of course, hers look a lot better than mine ever did!

Sleep Seven to Eight Hours a Night

This is one of my main goals for this year.

And guess what?

So far so good.

I know that getting more sleep is something a lot of us need to work on.

We all know that we need at least seven hours of sleep a night, but putting that into reality is hard!

I started doing some things this year that have helped a lot. First, I am working out five days a week. I am also finishing my workday and screen time by 6:00 pm.

The last thing I do is I read every night on my Kindle. A kindle does not have a blue light and it relaxes me. Usually I am asleep in about ten minutes which is a record. I have always had a hard time falling (and staying) asleep. But not anymore.

Things are looking good so far for 2022.

Prioritizing sleep is one of the best things you can do to set yourself up for a successful, energized, and fabulous day.

We have a fun week scheduled so be sure to watch my stories on Instagram for lots of Waco updates. On the blog, I am also sharing a beautiful pink floral arrangement, two crafts, a Valentine dinner in the Carriage House, breakfast in the kitchen, and some new Valentine cookies.

Love the idea of 7-8 hours of sleep and the reading. I go thru my Instagram just before bed and it makes me sleepy reading on my phone with the dimming light on.
Great job on the craft room! Maybe you can share (or maybe I didn’t see it) what you used to bolt/roll your fabric onto before placing it on the shelves. Looks so nice!

  4. I’m looking forward to your Valentines posts. They look fun! The tablescape in the carriage house looks dreamy. Also looking forward to the artwork you’ll be adding to the Waco house. XO- MaryJo
