Easy Summer Crafts and Sunday Morning Coffee
Summer is here and it’s time to think about summer activities! Today I am sharing some easy summer crafts for you to enjoy all summer long.
Crafting during the summer months is one of my favorite memories. When I was younger and with school, sports, and activities on pause during the summer months, I spent my summer crafting!
Now that I am grown up, I still love to craft in the summer. Some things never change.
Season 2 Volume 25
Thanks for joining me for Sunday morning coffee. Today I am sharing my weekly thoughts about entertaining, decor, recipes, and of course, summer crafts!
About Me
I have been making crafts since before I could read.
And yes, I know it sounds silly, but it is true.
I absolutely drove my mother crazy when I was growing up because I always had to be able to create and have an active craft project happening in my room 24/7. Even when I was five years old.
Over the years my craft projects have developed from felt comb cases to stained glass, handmade pillows, and six-foot abstract paintings.
But no matter where I am in my life, and how busy my to-do list may be, I need to know I can always relax and express my creativity with a craft project.
When I get frustrated, bored, or just need a pick-me-up, I head to my craft room. Crafting makes me happy and it is the most therapeutic thing I know how to do.
That said, it can be frustrating too. There have been plenty of times when a project has gone awry. But that is what makes crafting fun. It’s the journey, the discovery, and the unexpected end result.
Today I am sharing some of my favorite summer crafts. All of them are easy to make but they look like they took some time to make!
Tap on any of the links for the complete DIY. I hope these projects will provide you with some self-discovery and fun all summer long.

My Favorite Room This Week
Why is our primary bedroom my favorite room this week? Because I have spent the whole week here, sick with Covid!!! This virus is really a doozy and I have been wiped out.
Thank goodness I love this room because I have hardly left it. Our bed is super squishy and comfortable and I have my favorite pillow. Pillows are a funny thing and are very polarizing. In fact, I carried my favorite pillow all the way to France, and back, with me!
I do have amazing pillows on all of the beds in our home and my family and friends rave about them. I got them on Amazon and they have almost 150,000 reviews. They have a 40% off coupon right now, so I am buying them for the beach house today!

I look forward to seeing your email every morning!!! You are my inspiration and I love all of your ideas!!
Your ideas are wonderful. Thank you.
Please get well soon.
Blessings
Leslie,
I’m always excited when your crafts include glue instead of a sewing machine! I’ve mentioned before that I failed Home Ec-after sewing a girl’s finger to the machine! 🙄 So, I’m your glue girl! Love the ideas and your creativity, which is never a disappointment. The table setting is beautiful! The bedroom has such a feeling of calm & tranquility, beautifully designed. Thanks for sharing with all of us your many talents. Hope you’ll soon feel 100%!
Good morning Leslie, I’m sad to hear that you are recovering from Covid. Please get well soon! My prayers are with you! I just love watching you and I love your crafting ideas. I am in my bed most of my life, I have Chronic pain Syndrome. You bring hope and joy to my life. I think one day I may be able to do your crafts and live a normal life. If you could do any story at all could you please make others aware of this condition. The website is#meaction.net/epi/ we could use all the awareness we can possibly get. There is a show on Netflix right now called Unrest it shows real people who have this disease and how we are coping. There are varying degrees of this disease. Sorry, to carry on. It’s just so importante. Please keep up the fabulous ideas. I love each and every one. Thank you so much.
Dear Leslie,
I have so enjoyed watching your story take place over the last couple of years. You are an inspiration to so many, and you definitely inspire me. Although I am 77 years old I still like to have a nice looking home, and enjoy cooking for myself and otners. My question is this, I believe some time back a mention was made about that cool looking green spice rack. Did I miss the story about it, because it has always drawn my interest?
Hope you are feeling better. I just got back from Iowa visiting my large family, and have also tested positive for covid once home. My thoughts are with you.
