As we near the end of the year, I am sharing the most loved top ten home decor items for 2023. These are your favorites and also mine too!
Every year, during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, I share a week of Top Ten items about my blog for the entire year! Today I am sharing your favorite Top Ten Home Decor items for the year. And it’s no surprise most of them are from our newly remodeled beach house!
We all have those favorite items in our homes that are our favorites. As you read this today, think about what your favorite home decor items are. These are all the most popular home decor items you loved this past year.
In no particular order, of course.
Copper Accents
I can see why copper accents were one of your favorite home decor items of the year. I have been collecting copper items for years, and love to use them as accent pieces all year long!
Copper has quickly become my favorite way to set a table. Copper chargers underneath the plates. A fabulous copper bowl filled with faux or fresh flowers. A scattering across the table of various copper candlesticks lends a soft glow to everyone around the table.

Frame TV
You are probably not surprised that our Samsung Frame TV was one of the most favorited decor items. I love ours so much (and we have a few) because I never have to look at a big dark screen on our wall. When I utilize the art feature, it transforms our television into a piece of art.
Don’t you think our TV looks like a piece of art? Imagine how different it would look if there was a black screen hanging on our wall.

I think before I wrote this post many of you had not heard of this decor style before. Why?
Because I made it up.
I must say it is my favorite. Mixing vintage with new, with a coastal twist, is the theme of our beach house. I have to admit that our Pasadena home now has a few home decor items in that style too!
So many of you added some of the decor items in this blog post to your decor! I love that.

Kitchen Stools
This year I not only bought new kitchen stools for the beach house but I also replaced the ones in our kitchen in South Pasadena. They are both from Serena and Lily and they are called the Balboa stools. But you need to know that I bought them on sale and at the Serena and Lily outlet in Vacaville, CA.
I loved that so many of you reached out asking about these stools. They are the best.

Cake Stands
This may be the most asked question on the blog – “where did you get the wooden stand and bowl?” It is actually two pieces, a wooden cake stand with a wooden bowl on top of it. It stands as a sentry on our kitchen island and I change its contents as the seasons change throughout the year.
I use cake stands all over our home to hold decor, serve desserts, and more. I make them too! It would be impossible for me to share all of the blog posts where I used a cake stand because it is likely over 100!
I just love that you like them too.

Home Decor Lighting
It took me a while but I now consider lighting to be a very important part of home decor. Lighting, whether it is a table lamp or a chandelier, can make a huge statement in any room.
Many of you already consider the lighting in our home as decor. There are so many fantastic options and I love adding metals and accents to our home with lighting!
The most popular lights you all loved are the two lights hanging over our kitchen island at the beach. They are the Antique Brass/White Light Fixtures and are pictured below. I love the look of these and also the amazing price!

Hanging Picture Frames
A collection of frames on a wall is one of my favorite decor items. It is likely those frames will include family photos and what could be a better way to decorate the walls in your home?
You all consider these frames as your favorites too. I added framed family photos in the beach house in the hallway and our primary bedroom.
I love them so much. And hanging them is so easy since most come with a guide!

Dining Room Table and Chairs
I bought my Toscana Extending Dining Table at the Pottery Barn Outlet several years ago and I love that I get questions about it every single week.
The color is called Seadrift and it’s the perfect color, which is in-between gray and blonde woods. I added the Aaron chairs, also in Seadrift, as well as the Aaron armchairs. You can’t go wrong with Pottery Barn furniture!

Seasonal Throw Pillows
One of the easiest ways to update a room each season is to add colorful throw pillows. I have one set of pillow inserts and a drawer full of pillow covers. I can change the feel of the room instantly with a quick pillow cover update.

Accent Area Rugs
I think I purchased more rugs this year than the last ten years combined!
I bought them for the beach house in almost every room and also I replaced them on our third floor in my craft room. A nice area rug not only pulls a room together but it also makes it so much cozier.
It seems that in the last few years, a lot of the rug prices have become a lot more competitive. And my favorite brand Loloi, is very affordable!
