Summer Decor Ideas and Sunday Morning Coffee

It’s finally sunny and warm in Southern California, so it’s time to update my summer decor. I have so many ideas to share!
I thought sharing my favorite summer decor ideas from the beach house, and a few rooms in our Pasadena home might be fun. Regardless of your home’s style, you might love some of these ideas. Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee.

Season 4 Volume 25

About Me
I am an avid fan of updating our decor as the seasons change. I always shop my home first and switch things from room to room and, sometimes, from house to house. Let me know what you think!
Our Living Room Summer Decor Finds

Our living room feels so different because I lightened everything in it! I restyled the bookcases and removed the dark items (and books). The two new swivel chairs are perfect for reading. The Frame TV has been fantastic; as expected, we are spending much more time enjoying our new living room.
The living room isn’t new. It’s just refreshed, but it feels like new!
The Beach House Summer Decor Finds

The remodel of our beach house was finished last year, and adding the decor was so much fun. I just finished tweaking things for summer. My style is Modern Coastal Vintage (I totally made up that term), and I love it. Here are some of my favorite purchases for the beach house.
I may sometimes use affiliate links on this blog, which means a small commission is earned if you purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link.
Our Family Room Summer Decor Finds

Our family room feels brighter, and the orange pop has warmed it for summer. I love my amber water glasses, which are the perfect color and size. I am sure you will see many of them on the tables I will be styling for the rest of the year!

My Latest Project

I have been planning our summer and fall travel, and the next few months will be a whirlwind!
We plan to be in Ventura for most of the summer but also have trips to Atlanta, Sun Valley, Northern California, and France.

I am ready for lots of beach time and daily bike rides, and I honestly cannot wait until the 4th of July when the kids and our grandson will join us.
The following week, I head to Atlanta to present at the Haven Conference and spend time with family.
I head to Sun Valley the week after that to attend the Sun Valley Writers Conference. I am going with some girlfriends, and I cannot wait. The opening speaker is Kristin Hannah, who wrote the best-selling The Women and The Nightingale. They are two of my favorite books!
We head to Bordeaux, France, for a Backroads biking trip in September. We are so excited!

My Biggest Challenge This Week

Remember that To-Do list I am working on? I spent a few days in Ventura this week, and it’s going slower than I had hoped. Patience is all I need, right?
They finally fixed the freezer in our refrigerator on Friday, so there’s just one more project to cross off the list. The guest bathroom is done, and I styled it. With the new sink, faucet, and accessories, it looks brand new.
We still have an issue with a door; hopefully, I can fix that next week.

The Prickly Pear Margarita is a magical hot pink margarita. You need this recipe!

Emily Henderson finished their four-year River House remodel, and it’s amazing.
