Ready for Fall Decor and Sunday Morning Coffee

I love updating our home decor with the changing seasons, but I’ve always found it challenging to start decorating with fall decor early. And yet, fall is just around the corner.

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. August has traditionally been all about summer in our home, but as a content creator, I need to share seasonal ideas ahead of time. Why? Because I enjoy offering fall decor inspiration, and the earlier I share, the more helpful it can be.

Before you start worrying about fall decor, rest assured that I won’t begin sharing it until August 15th. Or later. I’m still in the planning stages, and it’s such a fun process!

Even though I’m navigating around fall decor boxes scattered throughout our home, I must admit that fall colors are gorgeous.

Incorporating peach, gold, and other fall hues with our home’s neutral backdrop could be truly stunning!

Remember the color palette I created for my fall decor inspired by a Pottery Barn catalog photo? I’m absolutely in love with these colors.

So, let’s savor this last week of summer before the leaves start to change. Just kidding!

Of course, I should probably mention that the leaves don’t usually turn until late October or November in Southern California.

I promise I haven’t lost my mind, but since we’re on early seasonal decorating, I have a confession to make.

I’ve already started planning for the holidays!

And no, I’m not talking about Labor Day – Christmas!

A few weeks ago, I mentioned I would be sharing some incredible holiday crafts in early October. I am so excited to share them in a new way.

I’m considering using different holiday color palettes this time, and I am still finalizing my projects.

My Biggest Challenge This Week

I’ve finalized the color palette for this year’s fall decor, and now I’m going through all of my old fall decorations, planning to reuse and repurpose them.

Why, you ask?

Because I have a lot of pumpkins and flowers and am excited to create new crafts from them. I am tired of the old stuff, and it’s time for some new fall ideas.

Plus, it’s a more budget-friendly approach.

For example, the pink pumpkins in the photo below look too fake up close, so I will repurpose them for a new pumpkin craft. So before you toss any of your old pumpkins, consider how you might be able to use them for a new project!
