352 blog posts! How is that possible? This makes me sound like I am crazy.
But herein lies the problem.
I loved every minute of it.
OK, there might have been some crazy times and late-night, falling asleep at the keyboard nights.
Actually, there were quite a few of them.
But I have loved writing these posts because I shared something in every single one. I love to share and teach and inspire. So that is why I write so many blog posts!
There is no doubt that this was a year of DIY custom crafts and projects. I shared eighty-seven blog posts that were in the “Crafts” category. But there were many others that I tagged as Entertaining and decor. But that is still a lot of DIY and custom craft projects.
Today I am sharing my ten most popular DIY and custom craft projects for 2021.
I shared a few of these Painted and Stitched pillows and you all loved my 4th of July star pillow! I encourage you all to make these. And if you don;' want to use a sewing machine for the outline, just use a permanent marker,
I discovered a company this year called Iron Orchid Design and I love them! I used one of their stamps to make the Old English Advertising Pots design on the top of these cookies. These are all Christmas-themed but I cannot wait to make more using their other stencils!
This is my second most popular Free Motion Embroidery pillow. (The first one I did with the flowers is still the most popular.) I loved making this pillow and hope you might consider making one for this Valentine's Day!
This is the second Pine Cone Wreath I have made and it just might be my favorite. There is no doubt the hardest part of this DIY is cutting the pine cones. But once that is done, the rest is very simple. This winter white wreath inspired so many of you to make one and that makes me so happy!
Over the years our Carriage house has mostly been used for storage. This year I decided I wanted to transform the Carriage House into an entertaining space. The remodel entailed painting, some wood repair, all new lighting, refinishing two pieces of furniture, and more.
I am so proud of this project and thrilled that you all liked it as your favorite custom craft and DIY project of the year.
It is my favorite too!
The Carriage House
This was such a fun remodel project.
Painting the room white made such a dramatic improvement. I decided to use one half of the room for dining and entertaining and the other half for flower arranging.
It is just the most perfect setup.
Aren’t the high ceilings amazing?
I can easily see why this new room was yours and my favorite project in 2021!

It’s Day Two of the Spring Refresh with my friend KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms. Today I refreshed the Kitchen with my favorite Pink Dinnerware. I love that these plates are also bowls. How cool is that? Plates and bowls? Oh yes, they are! I can use these pink dinnerware plates to serve any type of…
About ten years ago I found a small set of cranberry glasses at an antique flea market. A few years later my mother-in-law gave me some of her mother’s cranberry glass. A few more pieces here and there and apparently I now have a collection of cranberry glass.
When I remodeled our kitchen in the Waco home, I saved a lot of money. I found high-quality affordable Kitchen cabinets that are simply amazing. The Waco Texas Airbnb home remodel was a big project. We basically had to redo everything which included, foundation, electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, porch and more. By nature, I am…
I think that now that Memorial Day has passed, it’s summertime. Right? I think this means it is time to kick off the outdoor entertaining season at our home. And the best way to do that is to share my favorite recipes for outdoor entertaining.
When it comes to having chairs and sofas redone, there are usually two choices, slipcover or reupholster.
Either will give you a lovely end result – a new outside garment for a piece of solid furniture. But how do you decide between slipcover or upholster? It’s important to consider use, the condition of the furniture piece and cost.
