I am continuing my series highlighting Your Top Ten Favorites in 2025, and today, I am sharing your Top Ten Home Decor Items.

We all have favorite items in our homes. As you read this today, think of your favorite home decor items. Today, I am sharing the most popular home decor items you loved on my blog this past year.

Thanks for joining me for Sunday Morning Coffee. This is a place to share, learn, explain, dream, and have fun. Let’s have some fun!

About Me

A dining table set with golden-themed plates, glassware, and napkins. There is a wicker basket with yellow foliage centerpiece, two candles, and decorative pears.

I cannot believe this is the last week of 2025. It has been an excellent year for me. I am healthier than I have been in quite some time and have organized my life so that I have less stress, more free time, and more opportunities to travel than ever.

It doesn’t get much better than that!

Your Ten Top Favorite Home Decor Items

It’s been fun looking back at my blog posts from 2025, and today I am sharing your favorite Top Ten Decor Items from this year.

Here they are, in no particular order, of course.

Frame TV

A dining table set with pink plates, glasses, and a wicker basket centerpiece showcases stylish home decor items; a framed photo of trees hangs on the wall in the background.

You are probably not surprised that our Samsung Frame TV was one of the most favored decor items. I love ours so much (and we have a few) because I never have to look at a big dark screen on our wall. When I utilize the art feature, it transforms our television into a piece of art.

Don’t you think our TV looks like a piece of art? Imagine how different it would look if there was a black screen hanging on our wall.

New Fall Decor in the Family Room

Fall is here, and you know what that means—I’ve been busy giving our family room a seasonal refresh. I love that I mainly used pre-owned fall decor in the family room. Before you start saying fall isn’t officially here, it is for me. It’s my job to share decor as early as possible. This year,…

Faux Flower Arrangements and Centerpieces

A wooden dining table set with gold-rimmed plates, patterned napkins, clear glasses, wine glasses, and fall-themed floral centerpieces.

Why do I love faux flower arrangements and centerpieces? I love fresh flowers in our home, but I don’t like discarding dead arrangements.

Faux flowers have come a long way in the past few years, becoming more realistic and offering a wider range of options.

I often compromise and create arrangements with both real and faux flowers. I still need to remove the wilted flowers, but the arrangement can remain in our home for a long time.

You all loved the faux flowers in our beach house! You can see many of them below.

Modern Coastal Vintage Decor

A white cabinet with drawers holds a potted orchid, a glass vase of shells, and a shallow bowl; a large mirror and wall art hang above, reflecting a staircase.

Our beach house decor is Modern Coastal Vintage Decor. I know many of you haven’t heard of this type of decor. Why?

Because I made it up.

I must say it is my favorite. Mixing vintage with new, with a coastal twist, is a perfect theme for our beach house. I must admit that our Pasadena home now has a few home decor items in that style as well.

So many of you added some of the decor items in this blog post to your decor! I love that.

Hanging Picture Frames

A living room with a white sectional sofa, round coffee table with flowers, and nine framed photos arranged in a grid on a light olive wall showcases stylish home decor items.

One of my favorite decor items is a collection of frames on a wall. It is likely those frames will include family photos. What could be a better way to decorate the walls in your home?

You all consider these frames to be your favorites, too. I added framed family photos above our new sofa, in the hallway, and in our primary bedroom at the beach house.

I love them so much. And hanging them is straightforward since most come with a guide.

Here is the link to all of my favorite frames.

Home Decor Lighting

The finished beach house kitcehn with white cabinets, countertops, appliances, and an island.

It took me a while, but I now consider lighting an essential part of home decor. Lighting can make a huge statement in any room, whether a table lamp or a chandelier.

Many of you already consider the lighting in our home part of the decor. There are so many fantastic options, and I love adding metals and accents to our house with illumination!

A Finished Beach House Kitchen

The beach house kitchen is finally complete and I can’t wait to share it with you. Everything is installed and we absolutely love it! I was so fortunate to partner with Mission West Kitchen and Bath as their advice and products are what created this beautiful beach house kitchen. I definitely could not have picked…

Kitchen Stools

A kitchen with a central island featuring three wicker chairs, pendant lights, and a vase of flowers. White cabinets, a farmhouse sink, and a stainless steel range are visible.

I not only bought new kitchen stools for the beach house, but I also bought the same ones for our kitchen in South Pasadena. They are both from Serena and Lily and are called the Balboa stools. I bought them on sale at the Serena and Lily outlet, but they are costly in the stores.

We finally found them on Amazon here. And they are so well priced at 75% off the S&L price!!!

I loved that so many of you reached out asking about these stools. They are the best.

How to Decorate Your Home Serena and Lily Style Without Breaking the Budget

Serena and Lily is synonymous with fresh, coastal, and effortlessly chic home décor. Many of us love and aspire to bring this look into our homes. But the price often prevents it. Their signature style seamlessly blends a coastal aesthetic with modern elegance, featuring relaxed linens, natural materials such as rattan and wicker, and a…

Seasonal Throw Pillows

DIY pillow featuring painted and stitched vintage bathing suites in a modern coastal vintage style.

One of the easiest ways to update a room each season is to add colorful throw pillows. I have one set of pillow inserts and a drawer full of pillow covers. I can instantly change the room’s feel with a quick update to the pillow covers.

So many of you love the pillow covers I share. You can see many of my favorites in the Spring Pillow blog post I linked below.

This summer, the DIY lumbar pillow I made from vintage swimsuits was a favorite with all of you!

Summer DIY Lumbar Pillows

Summer will soon be here, so I am sharing a cute summer DIY with lumbar pillows. This pillow was inspired by the decor style of our beach house, modern coastal vintage. It’s time to give your home a refreshing update that reflects the season’s vibrant spirit. You know how I love to create unique DIY pillow…

Glassware

A wooden table is set with amber-tinted glassware, patterned tumblers, wine glasses, plates, and a white vase with yellow foliage as a centerpiece.

I have curated quite a glassware collection over the last thirty years. Some are vintage, but surprisingly, most of my glassware collection was purchased at home stores and on Amazon.

I love using colored glassware on my tables because the entire table sparkles when the light filters through.

I would love to know which are your favorites!

Accent Area Rugs

My new craft room on the third floor with vaulted ceilings, a Dreambox craft storing cabinet, a work table, and more.

Area rugs can make or break a room.

I purchased rugs for the beach house in almost every room and replaced them in my craft room on the third floor. A lovely area rug pulls a room together, making it much cozier.

It seems that in the last few years, many rug prices have become more competitive. And my favorite brand, Loloi, is very affordable!

You all loved the rugs in our beach house! You can see them below.

Ventura House Beach Decor

My Latest Project

My Latest Project

A woman wearing a light green apron stands in a kitchen with bags of bread rolls on the counter; a window with a holiday wreath is in the background.

2026 is only a few days away, and I have been so busy updating my brand, My 100-Year-Old Home. You will likely notice some changes on January 1st with my blog format, newsletter, social media, and blog content.

I am ready for some changes, and I hope you are too!

My Biggest Challenge This Week

A well-organized sewing room with shelves of supplies, a sewing machine, dress form, floral decor, and wooden floors, viewed from a table with a black chair in the foreground.
Just to come clean, my craft room never looks this clean. That’s why I need to make a few changes.

This year, crafting has played a much bigger role in my life, so I have decided to set my first New Year’s goal. Reorganizing the third-floor craft room.

My craft room is heavily used, yet it’s still not quite working. I need more work areas and a bit more organization, and I cannot wait to start!

Remember when I redid the sun room that was my craft room many years ago?? This room went from a dark office to a sunny craft room.

I loved the bright new craft space, but it was too small.

So, I moved all of my craft supplies to the third floor and created a much larger craft room.

My new craft room on the third floor with vaulted ceilings, a Dreambox craft storing cabinet, a work table, and more.

I have realized that my craft interests have changed this year, so my craft room needs to evolve with them.

Pottery is a new craft I discovered this year, and it requires a dedicated workspace and some storage. And my “storage closet” no longer looks like this. It’s packed full of stuff!

Craft Room Storage

That is my big project for January 2026.

I hope you are ready to share this journey with me!

This week's to do list.
  • Take down the Christmas decor. This includes organizing and donating anything I am not using.
  • Finish the brand updates for My 100 Year Old Home.
  • Start the 3rd-floor craft room reorganization project.

A modern living room with a white TV stand, wall-mounted TV, plants, and decorative wall art. A gold pouf and a geometric chandelier complement the minimalist design.

Have you ever wondered How to Clean a TV Screen?

This Peppermint Mocha looks amazing.

And what a week it was!
