  2. We have an old farm house with white windows and I am seriously thinking to paint the trim in the kitchen black , what are your thoughts ? The new part of the farmhouse is wide beautiful trim and was made to match the kitchen which is original but can’t make myself rip off the original woodwork off . Question – can I mix and match from dark oak trim to black in some parts of the house ?

    1. Sandi, thank you for reaching out and for your kind words. I think you are looking to achieve the industrial/iron window look. It is a very popular trend one I haven’t tried yet. Specifically to your question about mix and match, you can certainly do anything you like, there aren’t any rules!
