My Favorite DIY Pillows

I discovered Free Motion Embroidery a few months ago. It's a very fun way to sew because you get to move the fabric around to determine where you want the stitches to go.

Originally I tried free motion embroidery on cut fabric. But I came up with this painted version and I love it!

I am always looking for drop cloth projects and this flower pillow was one of my favorites. All I did was tear a lot of strips of fabric and then wrap the fabric to make the rosettes. It's a very simple DIY and I fully intend to make more of these.

I love this pink-painted pillow. I used some vintage paint rollers for this design. But you can use stencils or even make your own roller to get a similar effect.

I love to sew and making my favorite pillows is something I love to do. For this DIY, I used vintage linens. You . can also use cloth napkins or towels to make these pillows.

This felt flower pillow is one of my favorite DIY pillow projects. I love the colors and it was so easy to make. I cut the felt with my Cricut Maker machine, but you could easily cut your own with scissors.

I made these pillows with lots of fabric remnants and fringe. You can probably guess that I matched them to the painting. It's such an easy way to brighten up a room and takes very little sewing.

This hand-sewn pillow was an easy DIY that was inspired by a major retailer. I used an IKEA pillow cover and hand-stitched all of the hearts. So you don't even need a sewing machine.

This pillow was also inspired by a major retailer but cost about 500% less to make. I bought a premade pillow cover and added all sorts of vintage ornaments. There are so many other shapes you could make!

This was a gift I made for all of our family members one year for Christmas. The gift came in a bag and had one pillow and different covers to use throughout the year. This was such a fun gift idea.

I loved the pink and orange free motion embroidery pillow so much that I had to make another one! This pillow was fun to have around the house for Easter.

This pillow sure looks great for the effort it took. All I did was glue pom poms on an IKEA pillow cover with a glue gun. Yes, that's all.
