Exterior

The front of our home has changed very little in one hundred years. Other than a few painting sessions, it looks exactly like it did when it was built.

The back of the home has been completely redone. We bumped out the family room and added the porches, fireplace and outdoor kitchen. We also added the pool and converted the paddle tennis court to a sand volleyball court!

I know Valentine's Day is over.

And I know it's the middle of the week.

But today I am sharing a surprise romantic dinner I created for my husband on a Tuesday night.

As in last night.

It was amazing.

Very unexpected and spontaneous.

And it was perfect.

I spent less than $20 on the dinner (we already had the wine) and we had the most wonderful evening.

You have to do this.

Head to my blog to learn how you can do this. You can find a link in my stories or tap on @my100yearoldhome and select the blue link.

Wreaths.

I love them.

I have so many favorite wreath DIY’s that I have made and this is one of my favorites.

to make this succulent wreath, I used a metal wreath frame and stuck a bunch of succulents in it. Of course I went for an ombré theme because, well, I love ombré.

Succulents are the easiest plant to keep alive. Over the years I have taken a few cuttings from my larger succulents and replaced some of the ones on my wreath.

For care, all you do is spray it every once in a while with water to keep it alive.

Succulents are kind of a no brainer.

And so is the wreath!

There are ten more wreath DIY’s on my blog. You can find my blog link in my stories or tap on @my100yearoldhome and select the blue link.

I love wreaths.

Wreaths are a great way to add color or fun to any room in your home.

In fact, I have a lot of wreaths hanging in my home right now. And it’s not even Christmas.

I put together all of my favorite wreath DIY projects on my blog today. I also added my favorite wreaths you can buy that are NOT expensive. (Just in case you aren’t up for a DIY project.)

I also included some garlands since I love those too!

Head on over to my blog. You can click the link in stories or you can tap on @my100yearoldhome and select the blue link.

If you have already made one of my wreaths share it on your stories and tag me. I would love to share your wreath with all of my followers.

So which one of the 11 wreath and garland projects I posted is your favorite?

I would love to to know!

Today is all about fresh flowers.

I wrote a fun post about how to arrange flowers.

I kind of forgot to mention that I am about read to plant a large flower cutting garden in my four raised flower beds.

I have seeds and bulbs ready and I am so excited!

Head on over to my blog to see how I arranged these flowers. And more.

And get ready for some fun gardening posts in early March. The flower cutting garden plans (and getting the beds ready) are first.

I am so excited.

I love to arrange flowers.

I will admit that I have a lot of faux flowers in our home but nothing is better than the real thing.

Whenever I buy fresh flowers I do everything I can to make sure they last as long as possible.

Today I am sharing how to arrange flowers for your home.

All the flowers in my post are from the ombré centerpiece I created a few weeks ago.

Swipe left to see it.

I also have a shocking new favorite flower. I still can’t believe it!

Head to my blog post to learn and see which flower I picked. It’s crazy!
