My Happy Place and Sunday Morning Coffee
Where is your happy place? Is it your home or a destination? Or is it a state of mind when you are feeling good about yourself?
My Happy Place is something I always strive for. It’s when I am with my family, feeling relaxed, in a peaceful environment, and feeling healthy. What is yours?
Season 2 Volume 15
Thanks for joining me for Sunday morning coffee. Today I am sharing my weekly thoughts about entertaining, decor, crafts, recipes, and my happy place!
My Happy Place
There is a saying I have repeated at least a hundred times, “You are only as happy as your least happiest child.” While I agree that it is true, I have another saying I think we should add to our thoughts.
It is “You are only as happy as your least happiest self”.
It’s so true.
And I think the most important thing we can all do is make a concerted effort to be happy.
I have always tried to focus on the things I can control. Things like our health, simplifying life, making smart decisions, and making happiness a priority.
I caught myself three times this week telling someone how much happier I am. And why is that?
It’s the changes I made at the first of the year to take better care of myself.
Things like exercising five days a week, ending my workday at 6:00pm, and sleeping a lot longer than I ever have.
But it also includes simplifying my life and getting rid of the clutter. I am working hard at cleaning out closets and donating all the things I have intended to use but haven’t.
And guess what? Suddenly everywhere has become my happy place.
