Vintage Shopping and Sunday Morning Coffee
The Texas Round Top Antique Show is not just an event; it’s a journey through time, a vintage shopping hunt where every find has a story.
This past week I embarked on this adventure with four of the most incredible women I know. Together, we explored the vast collection of antiques, uncovering the charm of the past and creating unforgettable memories. I am so happy you have joined me for Sunday Morning Coffee!
Season 4 Volume 11
About Me
I flew home late last night from Texas and what a week it was!
Our adventure in Round Top this week began with a shared excitement for the discoveries we would make. The show, known for its extensive variety of items, did not disappoint. Spanning several days and featuring miles of vendors, it’s a paradise for collectors and enthusiasts.
I wasn’t there for the furniture or large items as I sought the smaller treasures, the ones that whisper tales of days gone by.
Each day at Round Top was a new chapter in our adventure. The early mornings were our favorite, the cool air filled with the promise of discoveries. We’d split up, meander through aisles of vendors, and then regroup to share our finds and stories.
I am always amazed at the variety of items available: beautiful vintage decor, rare books, handcrafted vintage pottery, and so much more. Each piece I chose seemed to call out to me, a perfect fit for my collection.
What made the trip truly unforgettable were the women I traveled with. Each day, amidst our treasure hunting, we shared stories, laughed until our sides hurt, and supported each other’s quests for the perfect find. Their company transformed the show from a simple shopping trip into an extraordinary experience, reinforcing the bonds of our friendship.
Our evenings were spent reliving the day’s adventures over delicious meals. Round Top, though renowned for antiques, also offers an array of delightful dining options. These moments of reflection allowed us to appreciate not just our finds but the joy of the journey itself.
As our stay concluded, and we packed our small treasures, there was a unanimous feeling of gratitude. Gratitude not just for the items we found, but for the memories we created. The Texas Round Top Antique Show was more than just an event; it was a testament to the beauty of exploring the past with friends who feel like family.
In those five days, we didn’t just find antiques; we found laughter, friendship, and the true spirit of adventure. As I look at the small items I brought back, each one holds a story, not just of its own history, but of the incredible week spent with the most amazing women ever. The treasures of Round Top will always hold a special place in my heart, a reminder of our timeless adventure.

My Latest Project
There are a lot of different ways to shop at Roundtop.
There are fields with hundreds of tents filled with personal finds of a lot of different sellers. This is where you can find the best deals, but it is a lot of work. It’s sometimes a challenge to find the treasures in all of the junk. (But some of the junk is amazing!)
Then there are the new buildings that have popped up over the last five years. These are beautiful “shops” that are almost like showrooms and the inspiration that I gained visiting these was incredible.
So why am I sharing this?
I am so inspired by all of the design ideas and I cannot wait to get to the beach house and redo some of my styling.
This is my new project.

My Biggest Challenge This Week
The hardest thing I faced this week was only buying small items at Roundtop.
And that is because I don’t need anything, other than small decor items.
But of course, I found some beautiful things that I would love to have. But it didn’t happen.
And I am so good with that. As soon as I get my suitcase unpacked I will share my new finds with you!
- Head to the ALT Summit in Palm Springs for two days. I will be presenting a fun seminar on AI and how to use it for blogging, recipes, and video voiceovers.
- Organize my old craft room downstairs. It needs some love and help!
- Enjoy the first harvest in my new kitchen garden. I have lots of lettuce to cut!
