My Favorite Summer Desserts
Happy 4th of July! I love to cook in the summertime, and today, I am sharing my favorite summer desserts. All of these recipes are amazing!
In honor of summer, I am sharing recipes for macarons, summer cakes, ice cream, a frozen pie, summer pie, popsicles, s’mores, cobbler, and more tasty desserts. I loved making each of these desserts; I guess you could say these are all of my favorite summer desserts.
Summer desserts can be similar yet so different! I love light and fluffy desserts, such as lemon cream pie or homemade marshmallows. Both taste great and are perfect for warm summer nights.
Some of these tasty desserts are really simple, and others are more difficult. Yet they all taste amazing, and they can all be made as holiday or birthday desserts!

But what about homemade marshmallows and s’mores? Hello! Desserts don’t get any better than this! Especially on a summer evening.
Many of you know how much I love to cook. It’s relaxing, and I really enjoy it. It’s fun to open the pantry, drab some ingredients, and decide what to make—especially if it is a summer dessert!
To me, nothing is better than serving a fabulous dessert at the end of a dinner. Summer evenings, when the air is thick with the lingering heat of the day and the heady scents of sunscreen and citronella, seem to beg for a sweet ending to the day. Everything is a little slower and sweeter in the summer.
If you want an effortless summer dessert, I suggest you make this Frozen Limeaid Pie. It’s really easy to make.
And I can promise you that it tastes delicious!
One of the reasons I love making desserts is that it is easy. What makes it easy? I have a well-stocked pantry. I compiled a list of everything I try to keep in my pantry. You can find my list here.

The kouign-amann is pronounced "queen a-mahn" and is from Brittany, France. It's like a cross between a croissant and a palmier, with layer after layer of buttery, flaky pastry on the inside, yet caramelized with ever-so-slightly-burnt sugar on the outside.
This fabulous recipe is used used to make pastries such as profiteroles, cream puffs, and eclairs. Today we are making Choux Puffs with a Mousseline cream and Raspberry filling. These measurements yield a high volume of puffs, so feel free to halve (or otherwise divide) the recipe according to your needs.
The mini pies not only look adorable but they also taste great.
