The Beach House in the New Year

We celebrated the new year at the beach house and it was wonderful. The weather was cool but sunny and the perfect place to relax!

I spent some time organizing and cleaning out drawers, closets, and cabinets. I am not very good at relaxing so I enjoy organizing instead! And I love these new photos.

The Chair Swap

You might notice a change in the kitchen.

I replaced the chairs!

During the remodel I bought a table and six dining chairs at the Pottery Barn Outlet. I bought them at different times but they were the same finish and looked great. In case you don;t remember, this is what they looked like.

The only problem was that the chairs didn’t push very far under the table.

Which is actually a nice way to say they didn’t fit.

I just happened to be at the Serena and Lily Outlet in November and I found these Riviera chairs. The price was incredible and they fit all the way under the table. The small change gave us almost three more feet in the kitchen which we desperately needed.

I sold the Pottery Barn chairs at my sale so it all worked out great.

Keeping It Simple

A Beautiful Week

Can you even believe the color of the water?

Which is actually a bit funny because we had quite the scare att he beach while we were there.

Many of you saw my updates on my Instagram as we had another unusual situation with really high tide and really big waves.

It was all over the news and I so appreciate that so many of you reached out to make sure our home was ok!
