Christmas in the Craft Room
This time of year, Christmas in the craft room is in full swing. Between Christmas crafts and Christmas wrapping, it’s a busy place.
The craft room is all decorated and it is such a festive room to spend time in. Ready for a tour?
Christmas in the Craft Room
What is now my craft room is a room that has had many lives. While I do not know the original purpose of the room, I do know that when we purchased the house from my in-laws, the room was paneled in dark brown wood.
What a difference a coat of paint can make!
At Christmas time, I take advantage of all of the incredible windows in the craft room and hang a wreath in each one. As soon as the wreaths go up, it instantly feels like Christmas in the craft room!

A Busy Time of Year in the Craft Room
The first thing I want to mention is that this is a working craft room. What do I mean by that? There is always a craft project happening here and I have a lot of craft supplies!
So while the room might not be pristine and perfect, it is a room where creativity is at its best!
Crafting is one of my favorite things and Christmas crafts might just be my favorite kind of crafts. Below are just a few of my recent Christmas crafts in case you missed them.

Storage is important in the craft room and this built-in cabinet is the best!
Wrapping Station in the Craft Room
I found the work table that is in the craft room at the Rose Bowl flea market years ago. Originally, the wood top and legs were turquoise. As you can imagine, I quickly sanded the top and painted the legs black.
I love that this table is on wheels. It gives me the ability to move it around the room depending on whether I am crafting or wrapping. It’s also taller and the perfect height for all projects.
The table is great for wrapping presents and having a wrapping station in the craft room allows me to keep all of my wrapping materials in one place!
Decorating the Craft Room
Every year I create a fun skirt for my dress form. While this year I may be running a bit behind, we did add a festive garland to add some Christmas cheer. In previous years I have decorated her skirt with fresh greens, faux poinsettias, Christmas cards, and bows. This year I think I will do something with ribbons.

Love you built-in in your craft room. So many wonderful things about your space. You have me wanting to go clean mine and decorate it and my dress form for Christmas.
Hi Tammy! Oh you’re kind- thank you so much! It does make wrapping presents and crafting so peaceful ☺️🎄
Your craft room looks amazing!!! It looks functional as well as beautiful too. We just finished our basement ourselves (approximately 1900sf) and I have a large craft room. Please share your sources for the ribbon holder on the wall, storage cabinets and the rug. My husband has a full workshop on the opposite side of the basement and can build me the craft table. I don’t want to do built-in book cases should we move this room could easily be transformed to a bedroom. Thank you for sharing your pictures of your lovely home.
