Thanksgiving Dinner Ideas
It’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving Dinner Ideas. I thought it might be fun to share our Thanksgiving menu, recipes, and tablescape ideas.
Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and I thought it would be fun to share some of my best Thanksgiving Dinner ideas. We cook a huge dinner every year with family recipes, a smoked turkey and more food than you can imagine! Today I am sharing a lot of our menu ideas, recipes, and table decor ideas.
My favorite apple pie recipe is so delicious and fun to make. The rosettes on the top of the pie are very easy to make.
We have smoked a turkey in our Big Green Egg for years and I can tell you it is the best turkey I have ever made (and eaten!). There is a slightly smokey taste and the turkey is so fresh and moist! You need to check out this recipe because it is incredible. My post titled How to Smoke a Turkey shows how easy it is to smoke your own turkey for your Thanksgiving dinner at home.
I love setting tables and creating a table for Thanksgiving Dinner is one of my favorite projects during the holidays. This table was set for a small crowd of ten. I shared how you can use lots of different types of plates and silverware to make a very fun table.
We usually host a pretty large group for Thanksgiving dinner and this table was set in our dining room for 22 of our family members. It took some creative planning but it worked! I absolutely love this table design.
I made a pumpkin pie one year after making a stencil with my Cricut machine. How fun is this?
This post shares our entire Thanksgiving menu. And just so you know, our menu hasn’t changed for years. It’s that good! Plus there are some fun cocktail ideas that we might have to add this year! If you want the recipes for our dinner all you need to do is sign up to follow my blog. You will get access to all of my holiday party recipes too!
Place cards are always a necessity for our Thanksgiving dinner. I shared lots of fun place card ideas for Thanksgiving dinner. I think you are going to like these a lot.
I hope these ideas have helped you get ready for Thanksgiving. I am so happy that we are hosting 37 for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We all like to sit at one table so I am not sure how I am going to make this happen. Do I even have 37 sets of silverware? Wish me luck!

This is so beautiful! I can’t wait to see how you come up with 37 sets of silverware. You are so creative and such an inspiration. Blessings to you and your family.
I host between 35-40 people each year! I have purchased a few placesettings for 16 when I get flatware since that’s how many fit around my dining table. When pieces go missing and I’m ready for new, I keep the old incomplete set and mix and match for the large crowds!
I do follow your blog and think it is wonderful! Are all your Thanksgiving recipes posted? I am trying to locate your cornbread stuffing recipe. Thanks! Pam
You are totally amazing I love your ideas and your so incredibly talented…
Do you serve food somewhere else. Table is so full with all the bits and pieces. Full and lovely.
The apple pie is so beautiful! Thanks for all the great ideas!
It looks awesome!
Ha! I love how necessity is the mother of creativity – or something like that! 🙂 Good luck, though I know you’ll pull it off in a totally inspiring way! Thanks for all the tips, and Happy Thanksgiving planning!
