Quick and Easy Bathroom Makeover with Liberty Hardware

Easy Bathroom Remodel

A bathroom remodel will add tremendous value to your home. Of course, not everyone has the time or the budget for a full bathroom remodel, right? I know I don’t!

Today I am sharing a way to update your bathroom with a bathroom accessories makeover. Any update to a bathroom adds value to your home. It’s one of those things that after it’s done, you think, why did I wait so long to do this?

Our beach house main bathroom remodel/makeover is one of those projects, so why did I wait so long to do this bathroom remodel/makeover? With the holidays right around the corner, now is the perfect time to take on a small project like this.

Let’s start at the beginning. Can you believe what this bathroom looked like when we bought our beach house in Ventura eight years ago? It was so dark and very brown. What a difference it made to use light-colored materials when we did the initial bathroom remodel/facelift.

Once the initial remodel was done, our beach house was ready. We have spent a lot of weekends (and weekdays) in Ventura. In the summer and over holidays, we spend sun-soaked weeks, bookended by weekends that sometimes stretch into multiple weeks in Ventura.

Fast forward eight years and our initial remodel/facelift is beginning to sag a bit. You all know we will be starting a remodel on our beach house in the next few months.

There are some rooms on the main floor that definitely need some attention. The main floor of the house has gorgeous views of the ocean and is where we spend the most time when we are not sitting on the beach, playing volleyball, or riding bikes. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and primary bedroom will all be redone. We are even adding a new bedroom and bathroom.  

Believe it or not, our main bathroom is the only room on the main floor that is not getting remodeled!

But it’s still looking a little tired and needed a makeover.

This Westdale Collection is sturdy and substantial, but still sleek and is a perfect fit for the Ventura beach house. The style of the house is a little bit modern, a little bit farmhouse, a little bit beach house. This collection works for all of those aesthetics. 

The original towel rack in our bathroom was practically falling off of the wall. I never did get around to installing a towel holder for hand towels, which is probably why this one is essentially falling off of the wall! This bathroom is challenged for wall space since there are two doors into the room. One door is from the hallway and the other door is from the primary bedroom leaving the wall with the toilet as the only wall space for a towel rack.

Adjustable Towel Rack

The adjustable towel rack from the Westdale Collection is what really sold me. The posts adjust over the existing holes in the wall. The adjustable towel holder bar allows the posts to move along the bar and lock in place so that you can customize the center-to-center length from 12” to 22”. How incredible is that?

The quality and durability of the Liberty Hardware Westdale adjustable towel rack are going to make a huge difference in this room. No more towels laying on the sink or towel racks nearly falling off of the wall! (Of course, that might have something to do with having a house full of boys!)

Hand Towel Ring

The Westdale Collection also contains a hand towel ring which I am so excited to finally have in this bathroom.

I guess I finally got around to getting one installed, it just happened eight years later. I’m not sure why I never got around to hanging a towel ring because the constant search for a towel to dry your hands has always annoyed me.

I think everyone will be very happy with this new addition to the main bathroom.

Toilet Paper Holder

To match the towel racks, I also found the Westdale toilet paper holder. I am pretty excited about this brushed nickel toilet paper holder. That may sound bananas, but I live in a house full of men. This new brushed nickel toilet paper holder does not require anyone to remove the spring-based toilet roll holder, rather to just slip the new roll onto the hook.

And we all know this is apparently an issue with the male gender, right?

Seriously, this will be a game-changer in our home. No more toilet paper rolls propped on top of the empty roll holder or the back of the toilet. I added a basket of new toilet paper rolls, so no excuses for not popping one onto the hook!

Robe Hook

One of my favorite things that we have at our beach house is big squishy robes. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning after an amazing night’s sleep of listening to the ocean, cuddling up in a big squishy robe, and having a cup of coffee while watching the surfers in the waves.

Currently, the robes have to live in our closets because they have pulled down the old robe hooks.

The Westdale Collection robe hook is substantial enough to hold the big super squishy robes. I looked at reviews for this robe hook and someone actually hangs their tool belt on it, so I am confident our comfy robes will not be too heavy for these robe hooks. I am so excited that the robes can be on hooks and easily accessible again!

Deluxe Mirror

The mirror needed replacing too and I was so excited when I found this Liberty Hardware Mirror in Vintage Nickel.

The frame attaches easily to the TRUClarity™ deluxe mirror glass and has a one (1) inch beveled edge. It also has a Safe-Break™ backing which is a great feature since we live in California. The nickel finish on the frame brings together all of the Westdale accessories. Everything looks so amazing altogether!

The mirror was easy to assemble and even comes with its own level to help make installation as easy as possible!

I am so happy with how this project turned out!
