My Favorite Baskets for Craft Room Organization

| |

It’s Day Four of the Spring Refresh with my friend KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms and we are in the craft room! I always struggle with craft room organization because I want to use items that are practical and look good. These pink and white decorative storage baskets are perfect!

Spring in the Craft Room

I am always looking for cute items so store my craft supplies and these pink baskets are perfect! I love the color (although they do come in different colors too!) and I think they look fabulous in my craft room.

Craft Room Organization

I have a lot of fun things in my craft room that keep me organized. In addition to my new baskets, I have a vintage metal chest. I cleaned it and spray painted it and added labels. It is perfect to hold all of the small items like tape, tags, pens, paint, and more.

I love to share my craft room organization ideas and you can read a previous post about tips to organize your craft room here.

But here is the interesting part about organizing for a creative person. Most of us don’t like to put things behind a closed door. Creative people traditionally want items such as craft supplies either in plain sight or labeled in a drawer.

I think that is why I love these baskets so much!

I also love storing craft items, such as the pink pom poms in clear apothecary jars. And can you see that book on top of my cabinet? It is called 52 DIY Crafts for Girls and was written by Karianne’s twin daughters, Whitney and Westleigh! I love this book and keep it in my craft room.

You might have noticed the floral apron too. It is new and I jumped for joy when I opened it. It is amazing and the colors are so perfect in my craft room and when I wear it.

Pink Baskets in Craft Room Organization

I highly encourage you to use all kinds of containers to store your craft items. In the photo below, you can see I have buttons in a small copper bowl and paint brushes and copper wire in vintage English advertising pots. And yes, these are the same advertising pots you saw on my dining room table yesterday!

the scissors are stored in a metal letter holder. I know that wasn’t what this was intended for but it works great!

The Craft Room Organization

Here is a close up of the craft materials stored on the top of the cabinet. The smaller pink basket is just perfect for ribbon. Or any other craft supply item!

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I organize my craft room inexpensively?

To organize your craft room inexpensively, use reused items! Shop flea markets and estate sales for containers for storage. Then look for inexpensive items, such as these pink woven baskets to add some color to your craft room.

  1. What a fun series, Leslie!! I read KariAnne’s Craft room post then hopped over to yours. I love the cabinet you have for housing all the little necessary things we crafters need, and the new soft baskets are good, too. I have these UGLY plastic boxes and it just isn’t working in mine. Looking for a nice cabinet or armoire… 😉

Happy spring to you and enjoy your bright craft room with all its pretties,
