Easy Fall Flower Arrangements

I love setting tables and today I am sharing one of my favorite fall flower arrangements. I used grocery store flowers to create this wonderful setting for a fall dinner party.

Easy Fall Flower Arrangement

I know I am being a bit of a rebel with my color scheme this fall. When I created one of my favorite fall flower arrangements I thought I was going to use subtle fall tones.  But, as you can see from the photograph above, that did not happen.

I have used a color palette of orange and pink many times. Remember the table I created with the hanging fall leaves? I love that table so much.

The funny thing is, there is some inconsistency in my photos. Don’t laugh, but I just couldn’t decide which look I liked better.

The first option is a table with pumpkins and no pink candles.

The second option is a table with pink candles. And no pumpkins.

New Wood Table Top

When I joined this amazing group of bloggers to create an easy fall flower arrangement, I was determined to set a table outside in our backyard. It’s been a while since I have created a fun outdoor dining room and I was determined to do it.

The only problem is that I didn’t have the right-sized table. We have a gorgeous Arhaus table on our back porch that seats eight and two wood tabletops (that I made) that seat eight to ten.

So what did I do?  I made another wood tabletop out of old wood fencing. It is smaller and fits on top of a small white folded table and cost me $12 to make. Yes, twelve dollars.

Doesn’t it look awesome?

Fall Table Setting

I am so excited about this table because I have so many different ideas and ways I am going to use this tabletop.

Easy Fall Flower Arrangements

I made my easy fall flower arrangements with flowers from Trader Joe’s. I love using grocery store flowers and I love that Trader Joe’s usually has my favorite green eucalyptus for sale (for $3).

Fall Dinner Party

Whenever I make floral arrangements from grocery store flowers, I don’t enter the store with an idea for my arrangement. Rather, I decide what to make with the flowers available. I love that it is sort of a challenge.

Here are the flowers I purchased.

Fall Flowers

I wanted to use a rustic vessel for my easy fall flower arrangement. I got this calf feed bucket from one of my favorite vintage vendors, Through the Porthole. I absolutely love it.

I lined the bucket with a plastic bag and first added the eucalyptus.

Arranging Fall Florals

I love the loose look and feel of this arrangement.

Next, I added Gerber daisies and tulips in pink and orange.

I  absolutely love how this arrangement came out. I timed how long it took me to make this arrangement. It was a total of only twenty minutes!

Fall Dinner Florals

I should probably mention that I set a table for a dinner party for six and forgot one thing. The guests!

Fall Dinner Setting

It’s true. It’s been a crazy week and none of our boys are home. So I created this with no intention of actually hosting a dinner party in person.

This means my table, with one of my favorite fall flower arrangements, was created solely for all of you to enjoy.

You are my guests for this dinner party. Enjoy!

  2. Beautiful! I am also interested in the pink and gold glass tumblers. They really caught my eye. The floral arrangement is gorgeous. I could close my eyes and imagine being there now. You have done such a beautiful job.

  3. Your fall arrangements are beautiful. I can’t wait to make it. I Love all your ideas. Thank you so much.

  4. Beautiful! Can you give more information about the plates on top? with the colored decoration around the rim? Love them!

  5. I love when your readers are the guests. Gorgeous flowers and table setting. My virtual dinner was wonderful. Gail

  6. Beautiful! You lined the bucket with a plastic bag? Is this how you were able to put water in it. I wasn’t sure if you could put water in a bucket like that or if it would sweat or ooze out….love the whole look!

  7. I do not like pink, but you have convinced me that I need to use it as an accent with orange! Gorgeous! I hope you’ll give a DIY post on your small wood table top. I think I could handle that one. I’ve eyed your larger ones but afraid they are out of reach for my skills!

  8. Both tablescapes are stunning! You always inspire me. I usually add my eucalyptus at the end. Now I know to start with that first.

I’m hoping you will share how to make your new smaller table top. I had someone make me the larger one using your instructions. I love it, but it’s too heavy for me to manage on my own. A smaller one would be the Goldilocks’ perfect size.

Thank you for sharing your creativity!

  9. I am new to your blog but have been loving all your florals and tabletops. Gorgeous!! I imagine all the beautiful dishes/tumblers are vintage from various sources but where did you find the stunning pink candles? Also, when you set a beautiful table and DO have guests, how and when do you transition from the lovely tablescape to plates with food on them? Do guests usually use the top plate for their food while the charger stays in place? Or do you remove the decorative plates and replace with different plates with food?

    1. Hi Deb – Thank you for reaching out. I am so happy that you found my blog and are enjoying what I have to share! I bought the candles at a small gift shop while on vacation years ago and unfortunately do not have a source for you for those specific candles. I have been eyeing these https://amzn.to/3zdzVD3 and am planning to buy them to see if they are similar enough.

To your question about plates in a tablescape. I use the plates that are on the table. I serve a salad or appetizer on the top plate and then the dinner on the larger plate. Sometimes, I remove the plates to plate the food. Other times, I serve at the table and leave the plates in place.

I hope I answered your questions! I am glad that you are here!

  10. You’re so talented..love your use of crocks and so many other things..I can’t puck a favorite. I love your blog and the fact you seek ,like me ,cheap finds!! The joy us in the hunt. Once again…love love your sharing of ideas and instructions.
