Easy Fall Flower Arrangements
Today I am sharing one of my favorite fall flower arrangements. Fresh flowers on a table make any meal a special one!
Grocery store flowers were used to create this simple fall flower arrangement. How can something so simple make such a big impact?
I am being a bit of a rebel with my color scheme this fall. When I created this fall flower arrangement I thought I was going to use subtle fall tones. But then I went to the market, and you can see from the photograph above, what I came home with instead!
I have used a color palette of orange and pink many times. Remember the table I created with the hanging fall leaves? I love that table so much.
When setting the table for this dinner party, a funny thing happened. I just couldn’t decide which look I liked better.
The first option is a table with pumpkins and no pink candles.
The second option is a table with pink candles. And no pumpkins.
I still can’t decide which look I like more. Do you have a favorite?
New Wood Table Top
When I joined this amazing group of bloggers to create an easy fall flower arrangement, I was determined to set a table outside in our backyard. It’s been a while since I created a fun outdoor dining room and I was determined to do it.
The only problem is that I didn’t have the right-sized table. We have a gorgeous Arhaus table on our back porch that seats eight and two wood tabletops (that I made) that seat eight to ten.
So what did I do? I made another wood tabletop out of old wood fencing. It is smaller and fits on top of a small white folded table and cost me $12 to make. Yes, twelve dollars.
Doesn’t it look awesome?
Just so you know, I am so excited about this table because I have so many different ideas and ways I am going to use this tabletop.
Easy Fall Flower Arrangements
I made my easy fall flower arrangements with flowers from Trader Joe’s. I love using grocery store flowers and I love that Trader Joe’s usually has my favorite green eucalyptus for sale (for $3).
Whenever I make floral arrangements from grocery store flowers, I don’t enter the store with an idea for my arrangement. Rather, I decide what to make with the flowers available. I love that it is sort of a challenge.
Here are the flowers I purchased.
Mixing rustic with pretty flowers is something I love to do. This calf feed bucket is from one of my favorite vintage vendors, Through the Porthole.
If you are using a vintage vessel of any kind, make sure to line it before you add water! I lined the bucket with a plastic bag and first added the eucalyptus.
I like my flower arrangements to be loose and not perfect. That’s more my style!
Next, I added Gerbera daisies and tulips in pink and orange.
I absolutely love how this arrangement came out and I even timed how long it took me to make this arrangement. It was a total of only twenty minutes!
I should probably mention that I set a table for a dinner party for six and forgot one thing. I forgot to invite the guests!
It’s true. It’s been a crazy week, my boys don’t live at home anymore, so I created this with no intention of actually hosting a dinner party in person.
This means my table, with one of my favorite fall flower arrangements, was created solely for all of you to enjoy.
You are my guests for this dinner party. Enjoy!

PLEASE! Where did you purchase the boujee pink and gold glass tumblers? So beautiful!
That’s my question, too. Lovely.
Your backyard is beautiful… and I love the colors in the floral arrangement—- unexpected delight… and thank you for the invitation—- enjoy your gorgeous table arrangements….
Beautiful! I am also interested in the pink and gold glass tumblers. They really caught my eye. The floral arrangement is gorgeous. I could close my eyes and imagine being there now. You have done such a beautiful job.
Your fall arrangements are beautiful. I can’t wait to make it. I Love all your ideas. Thank you so much.
Gorgeous! Love the pink and orange flowers together. Great job as always.
Are the chairs also from Arhaus? Can they be used inside?
You know I love the color combo of pink and orange. Your flower arrangement is so relaxed and gorg! Great job Leslie!
Thank you so much, Janine!
SO pretty and inviting!
Thank you, Rhonda!
Gorgeous, Leslie! I adore the pink!
Me too! Thank you so much.
Just beautiful!!! Love both looks, but the pink candles really add that touch of elegance…perfect!!
Thank you so much, Karolyn!
Beautiful! Can you give more information about the plates on top? with the colored decoration around the rim? Love them!
Absolutely stunning, my friend!
Thank you Renae!
I love when your readers are the guests. Gorgeous flowers and table setting. My virtual dinner was wonderful. Gail
I am so glad you enjoyed, Gail.
Beautiful! You lined the bucket with a plastic bag? Is this how you were able to put water in it. I wasn’t sure if you could put water in a bucket like that or if it would sweat or ooze out….love the whole look!
Exactly! Thanks Sue
I do not like pink, but you have convinced me that I need to use it as an accent with orange! Gorgeous! I hope you’ll give a DIY post on your small wood table top. I think I could handle that one. I’ve eyed your larger ones but afraid they are out of reach for my skills!
Both tablescapes are stunning! You always inspire me. I usually add my eucalyptus at the end. Now I know to start with that first.
I’m hoping you will share how to make your new smaller table top. I had someone make me the larger one using your instructions. I love it, but it’s too heavy for me to manage on my own. A smaller one would be the Goldilocks’ perfect size.
Thank you for sharing your creativity!
Thank you so much Linda. Stay tuned!
I am new to your blog but have been loving all your florals and tabletops. Gorgeous!! I imagine all the beautiful dishes/tumblers are vintage from various sources but where did you find the stunning pink candles? Also, when you set a beautiful table and DO have guests, how and when do you transition from the lovely tablescape to plates with food on them? Do guests usually use the top plate for their food while the charger stays in place? Or do you remove the decorative plates and replace with different plates with food?
Hi Deb – Thank you for reaching out. I am so happy that you found my blog and are enjoying what I have to share! I bought the candles at a small gift shop while on vacation years ago and unfortunately do not have a source for you for those specific candles. I have been eyeing these https://amzn.to/3zdzVD3 and am planning to buy them to see if they are similar enough.
To your question about plates in a tablescape. I use the plates that are on the table. I serve a salad or appetizer on the top plate and then the dinner on the larger plate. Sometimes, I remove the plates to plate the food. Other times, I serve at the table and leave the plates in place.
I hope I answered your questions! I am glad that you are here!
You’re so talented..love your use of crocks and so many other things..I can’t puck a favorite. I love your blog and the fact you seek ,like me ,cheap finds!! The joy us in the hunt. Once again…love love your sharing of ideas and instructions.
Those pink candles are the first thing I noticed, I had to look for the pumpkins. I love arranging flowers as well. We moved about a year ago and have a patio perfect for outdoor dining. I’ve been hiding my ugly folding tables for with vintage cloths. I love your table tops and will be making some before Thanksgiving!
That sounds perfect! Yay! Let me know how it goes.
I’m voting for the candles, but you really did a beautiful job with both of them! Love your new little tabletop too. Thanks for making everything do-able – and lovely! Happy Friday!
Thanks Barbara! Have a great weekend 😊
