Fall is a season that welcomes us with its warm colors and cozy vibes. It’s a time when many of us decorate our homes with various autumn-themed items.

This year I decided to repurpose all of my autumn decor. I have plenty of fall decor and I love the challenge of mixing items to make them look different.

Basically, I am decorating in my new color palette using all of my old autumn decor.

I love it.

Does this sound intriguing?

Don’t forget the savings you will gain by reusing your autumn decor. It could be a lot!

It is certainly a good thing to do. Want to join me?

Reviving Fall Florals

Fall florals are a beautiful addition to any autumn decor, but they can often be quite pricey if you buy them new each year.

Instead, consider repurposing and reusing your existing floral arrangements.

Mix and Match

Combine different floral stems from previous years to create unique and eclectic arrangements. Don’t worry about color coordination—fall is all about the rich tapestry of nature.

Refresh with Accents

Add a touch of novelty by incorporating small, inexpensive accents like decorative acorns or mini pumpkins into your floral arrangements.

Tableware Treasure Trove

Your collection of plates, glasses, goblets, and silverware doesn’t have to gather dust until your next dinner party. Make the most of these pieces by incorporating them into your fall decor.

Use your favorite plates as chargers beneath autumn-themed dishes for a layered and elegant look on your dining table.

Mix and match the glassware, plates, and silver to create a more whimsical and inviting table.

Pillow Cover Perfection

Those old pillow covers tucked away in your linen closet can be revamped to give your home a cozy autumn feel.

Look for pillow covers in warm, fall-inspired colors such as deep reds, burnt oranges, and earthy browns. Alternatively, consider using fabric paint to transform plain covers into autumn masterpieces.

Use stencils to add fall-themed designs like leaves, pumpkins, or acorns to your pillow covers. It’s an easy way to create custom decor.

You could even add tassels or fringes to the corners of your pillow covers for a bohemian fall look that’s both stylish and budget-friendly.

Copper Foil Leaf Pumpkins

If you’ve previously crafted copper foil leaf pumpkins, don’t let them sit in storage. They can continue to be a highlight of your fall decor.

I found mine hidden on the third floor and they look so great on our coffee table.

I also love the copper and pink pumpkins I put on the family room dining talbe that made a few years ago.

Experiment with different ways to display your pumpkins. Place them on a mantel, arrange them in a decorative bowl, or scatter them across your dining table for a rustic-chic touch.

Polish your copper foil pumpkins to restore their shine and luster. This will make them look as good as new.

Combine your copper foil pumpkins with other fall elements like pinecones and dried corn husks for a diverse and captivating arrangement.

Sustainability and Shopping Mindfully

Repurposing and reusing fall decor aren’t just about being thrifty; it’s also a sustainable way to enjoy the season without contributing to excess waste.

Here are some additional tips to keep in mind:

DIY Projects

Embrace your creativity and make your own fall decor items using upcycled materials or sustainably sourced supplies.

Donate or Swap

If you have fall decor items you no longer need, consider donating them to a local thrift store or participate in a fall decor swap with friends or neighbors.

Eco-Friendly Materials

When you do need to purchase new fall decor, opt for items made from eco-friendly materials like natural fibers, wood, or recycled materials.
