My Favorite Summer Desserts
Happy 4th of July! I love to cook in the summertime, and today, I am sharing my favorite summer desserts. All of these recipes are amazing!
In honor of summer, I am sharing recipes for macarons, summer cakes, ice cream, a frozen pie, summer pie, popsicles, s’mores, cobbler, and more tasty desserts. I loved making each of these desserts; I guess you could say these are all of my favorite summer desserts.
Summer desserts can be similar yet so different! I love light and fluffy desserts, such as lemon cream pie or homemade marshmallows. Both taste great and are perfect for warm summer nights.
Some of these tasty desserts are really simple, and others are more difficult. Yet they all taste amazing, and they can all be made as holiday or birthday desserts!
On my blog, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you purchase via the link. The price you pay will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link.
But what about homemade marshmallows and s’mores? Hello! Desserts don’t get any better than this! Especially on a summer evening.
Many of you know how much I love to cook. It’s relaxing, and I really enjoy it. It’s fun to open the pantry, drab some ingredients, and decide what to make—especially if it is a summer dessert!
To me, nothing is better than serving a fabulous dessert at the end of a dinner. Summer evenings, when the air is thick with the lingering heat of the day and the heady scents of sunscreen and citronella, seem to beg for a sweet ending to the day. Everything is a little slower and sweeter in the summer.
If you want an effortless summer dessert, I suggest you make this Frozen Limeaid Pie. It’s really easy to make.
And I can promise you that it tastes delicious!
One of the reasons I love making desserts is that it is easy. What makes it easy? I have a well-stocked pantry. I compiled a list of everything I try to keep in my pantry. You can find my list here.

This Meyer lemon pie is the perfect amount of sweet and tart with a yummy graham cracker crust. IT has a lemony whipped cream and candied lemon peel garnish. Bookmark this recipe, it is a crowd-pleaser!
I doubled this recipe to make the three-tiered cake.
One of my favorite Summer Desserts Is Frozen LimeAid Pie. You are going to love this recipes when you see how easy it is to make this amazing frozen dessert.
This Meyer Lemon and raspberry Olive Oil cake is amazing. The combination of the sweet Meyer lemon with the raspberries and the Mascarpone cream is just fabulous. this dessert is a win-win for sure.
This Citrus Stained Lemon Tart is one of a kind. I love the taste and it is gluten-free! Of course, if you want, you can leave the citrus on top to serve.
This berry pie is one of the most delicious and prettiest pies you will ever make. The crust recipe is courtesy of Chef Monique Chan.
The fresh fruit popsicles are so refreshing and delicious!
These vanilla marshmallows are amazing. By adding a peanut butter graham cracker crust they are now even better!
Macarons are so much fun to make. I love how perfectly these look and am thrilled they taste amazing!
The kouign-amann is pronounced "queen a-mahn" and is from Brittany, France. It's like a cross between a croissant and a palmier, with layer after layer of buttery, flaky pastry on the inside, yet caramelized with ever-so-slightly-burnt sugar on the outside.
This fabulous recipe is used used to make pastries such as profiteroles, cream puffs, and eclairs. Today we are making Choux Puffs with a Mousseline cream and Raspberry filling. These measurements yield a high volume of puffs, so feel free to halve (or otherwise divide) the recipe according to your needs.
The mini pies not only look adorable but they also taste great.
This 1-2-3-4 cake recipe is so easy to make and yet it tastes and looks fantastic.
This homemade coffee ice cream is so creamy and delicious, When layered with oreo cookie crust, hot fudge, and whipped cream, you can create mud pie sundaes.

Wow! These all look great! I can’t wait to try several especially the Meyer Lemon with Raspberry Olive Oil! I live near Paso Robles where we have a selection of wonderful olive oils. I can’t wait to try a recipe a girlfriend just told me about, brownies with tangerine/orange olive oil!!
I made this in my mini Bundt pans. I used homemade strawberry jam and fresh strawberries. It was a big hit, will definitely make again. Reminds me of Italy.
Sounds delicious!

Is there a way to make the Pate a chous with a Vegan filling? It would be great if
you can do some conversions with applesauce (rather than oil for example) etc.
If you can make a super pastry like this or citrus cake orange/lemony for summer.
Also the Pate a chous looks as though you could make them look festive for
Christmas too…or for fall with cinnamon or pumpkin flavor? The summer ideas

Happy Birthday Leslie. Hope you have a fabulous day and didn’t work too hard. All your recipes look so delicious and I really need to try the Mini Apple Pies in Ball Jars. My mom always made desserts when we were growing up, me, not so much. I always seem to run out of time. I am so going to make it a priority in making at least some of
them. BUT that basic 1-2-3-4 Basic Cake – in the Kitchen is absolutely beautiful – a show stopper. Also, your presentation on all of them is amazing. Take care.
