I get asked all of the time which DIY craft is my favorite. I can narrow it down to two as of now. Wreaths and pillows.
I used the term “as of now” because I am sure it will change. Maybe even next week. Ha ha.
I love these because they are perfect home decor items to add color or fun in to any room. They are also easy to make and the creative opportunities are endless.

Absolutely! I shared two wreaths I have made out of pine cones and they are my favorites. The cut pine cones look like flowers and they make the most beautiful wreaths.
I love making my own but occasionally I find ones to buy because they are just easier and inexpensive. I think the best prices and variety are on Amazon. I included some suggestions below.

Love all the wreaths but the pinecones are my favs. I’m determined to make one and I have a ton of pinecones but boy it’s a challenge to cut them!
For every one success in cutting, I ruin the next 2😂.
The cutting is the hardest part Candace. Thank goodness you have tons of pinecones to work with!
Hi Leslie, I really struggled with the cutting of the pine cones with hand shears. I have arthritis, so it made it very difficult. My husband took some pinecones out to his wood shop and used his ban saw. He also cut some on his chop saw, holding the top of the pinecone with long handled pliers for safety. The chop saw I believe gave a nicer cut. If anyone has the option of either saw and a husband to help you if needed, I suggest that. I’m excited to start the painting.
The cutting of the pinecones is definitely the hardest part Jean. I am so glad your husband was able to help you! Now for the fun part!! Please let me know how yours turns out!
