Laundry Room Reveal at the Waco Fixer Upper

| |

Thank you LG for sponsoring this post.

It’s hard to believe it, but we have another room completed in the Waco Fixer Upper home! I am so excited to share our “tiny” laundry room! It’s located right off the kitchen and I just love how it came out. I went with a very traditional style and color palette. Of course, I know that doesn’t surprise any of you!

You all know that our Waco home is going to be a short term rental. So what is one of the most important aspects of this home?

Laundry!

Don’t laugh, but it is true. Our Waco Fixer Upper Home has two baths, three bedrooms, and five beds. That’s a lot of laundry that needs to be completed between guests. The “turnaround” of our home for short term rentals includes a ton of laundry and yet, I have alleviated all of my concerns with my new LG Front Load Washer and Dryer.

How I Selected our Washer and Dryer

When it came to selecting a washer and dryer, I knew I needed to be able to clean with confidence! So I picked the LG’s WM3900 4.5 cu. ft. Front Load Washer which is LG’s newest, top-of-the-line washer. Why did I pick this one?  Because I can power clean big loads in under 30 minutes. It’s true!

This means I can clean larger loads fast and get all of the sheets and towels done while enjoying the same great washing performance I expect from LG. (*Based on independent testing comparing models WM3900HBA and WM4370HWA in normal cycle with TurboWash™360°option, 10 lb. load vs. TurboWash® 2.0 option, 8 lb. load (Feb. 2019)).

Look at the capacity of this machine!

I have to admit I had no idea there were so many features to a washer. (Apparently, I haven’t been paying attention.) LG’s latest Front Load Washer with TurboWash technology is the next evolution of cleaning technology with some pretty cool features that are going to simplify my laundry days. This LG Front Load Washer has TurboWash™360°, Allergiene™ Cycle / AAFA Certified, Steam Technology and even a SmartThinQ® app!

How can a washing machine reduce allergies? My new washing machine can reduce common household allergens in fabrics by more than 95% with the Allergiene™ cycle. It actually uses steam to reduce common household allergens in baby clothes, bedding and more—perfect for the more than 65 million Americans living with asthma and allergies. That includes me! How cool is that?

You all know how much value I put into having a “smart” home. My LG Front Load Washer also allows me to save time and simplify laundry day with smart features, such as the SmartThinQ® app.  The app lets me start the washer from the comfort of my couch or automatically reorder detergent so that I never run out again.

patent prints for laundry room

I added vintage patent prints that feature washboard, clothes hanger, and an iron. And I made the vinyl labels for my laundry soap and fabric softener containers. I promise to include details about how I made the glass canister labels in a future post.

  1. Oh, wow, this post sounds more like a commercial than a post! Laundry room looks great, though. I love it!

  2. Hi There- This looks clean and simple, very nice! A question: Everyone I know who owns a LG cannot get service repair. I opted for an Electrolux at my last remodel because of this issue. Funny enough- I am in the midst of doing another laundry room remodel and was going to purchase the same W/D. Can you tell me if their service capabilities have improved?
    Thanks!

  3. We also have service repair issues in our area. Now there is an opportunity for a career path 😉

  4. I was hoping for information on the prints you have on the wall, maybe those are still coming? Also, hoping that you don’t have problems with the front-load, I’ve heard a lot of horrible things about them. Best wishes with the washers and the LG repair, if you can find a service for them. : )

  5. Love the prints in the laundry room ! Can you tell me where to find them? Many thanks and love all your posts too.
