A Finished Beach House Kitchen

The beach house kitchen is finally complete and I can’t wait to share it with you. Everything is installed and we absolutely love it!

I was so fortunate to partner with Mission West Kitchen and Bath as their advice and products are what created this beautiful beach house kitchen. I definitely could not have picked all of these fixtures for the beach house kitchen by myself.

Beach House Kitchen Design

When we set out on the crazy journey of remodeling the beach house, I had a vision in mind. Open, spacious, clean, uncluttered, relaxed yet sophisticated.

And of course … white.

Mission Tile West and Mission West Kitchen and Bath

I am sure you remember the blog post I wrote highlighting the kitchen tile we used from Mission Tile West. This included the custom-painted tile and you can read all about it here.

For the fixtures in our beach house kitchen, I worked with another amazing business owned by the same family called Mission West Kitchen and Bath, located in South Pasadena, Ca. which is my hometown.

Mission West Kitchen and Bath

Mission West Kitchen & Bath has everything you need to finish your kitchen and/or bathroom. They have countertops, sinks, tubs, plumbing fixtures, hardware, vanities, appliances, mirrors, lighting, and accessories. They are literally a one-stop shop!

The owners of Mission West Kitchen and Bath (and Mission Tile West) are Thano and Kathy Adamson and they are very close friends of ours. Beach House Kitchen Design Elements

One of the most significant areas in any home is the kitchen. It is where meals are prepared, and many homeowners are investing in their kitchens to make them more functional, stylish, and comfortable. Kitchen fixtures are an essential part of any kitchen, and at Mission West Kitchen and Bath, customers can find a variety of kitchen fixtures to choose from.

Since I was unaware of the current trends and choices for our kitchen, I worked Kathy Adamson, one of the owners, who guided me through the available options and assisted me in making informed decisions regarding everything I required. We also partnered with California Faucets which makes the most amazing fixtures! In the photo above I am pictured with Kathy and the team at California Faucets.

The Quartz Countertop

The first thing I chose was a quartz countertop which served as the backdrop for all design decisions for the beach house kitchen. The quartz with the latte-colored veins was exactly what I had pictured in my mind. It is called Eurostone Calcutta Gold.

This mixture of grey and gold served as the palette for our kitchen and it also matched all of our new appliances. For a deep dive into why I chose quartz countertops click here. We even had enough quartz left over to use around the living room fireplace which looks incredible!

Fixtures in Our Kitchen

Our kitchen is divided into three areas: cooking, dining, and beverages. It’s not a huge kitchen by any means, but it works perfectly for our family.

The Cooking Area

You all know how much I love to cook and the cooking area is the left side of our kitchen where all of the prep and cooking happens in our kitchen. I am thrilled with everything I added to this area from Mission West Kitchen and Bath.

While working with Mission West Kitcehn and Bath, we also partnered with California Faucets. (There will be more about them soon, I promise!).

This is the first time I have owned and used a pot filler and oh my gosh! It is amazing. I love to cook artichokes and because I cook them for about two hours I always have to add water to the heavy stockpot. (If you let the water run out and they burn the smell is just horrible!) I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I was when I realized all I had to do was move the pot filler above the pan and fill it up! It’s so much easier, especially with huge and heavy pots!
