This Week at My 100 Year Old Home
September is almost here. I cannot wait to share with you all of my projects and Fall Decorating ideas at my 100 year old home.
It feels like September is right around the corner. And I think that means it’s time to start thinking about my fall decorating ideas.
We finally came home from the beach (we were escaping the heat) and I have been spending all of my time working on our third-floor bedroom remodel. I am participating in a Makeover in a Month challenge and it’s been really fun!
Well, except for the slipcover. More on that later.
First, let’s take a look at what happened this past week at My 100 Year Old Home.
On the Blog This Week
It was a great week at My 100 Year Old Home. I am finally transitioning into my fall decorating ideas.
It's been such a fun week and I loved sharing so many exciting and creative ideas with you. About ten years ago I found a small set of Cranberry Glass at an antique flea market. A few years later my mother-in-law gave me some of her mother’s Cranberry Glass. It’s now one of my favorite things to collect. I am so excited to share with you easy elegance Wednesdays, where we celebrate simple elegant decor. Today I am sharing my five best table setting tips for fall. I created a fantastic family gathering place and I love it so much! I was inspired by the incredible book Inspired Gatherings by Courtney Allison. I love adding fall kitchen decorations in our home. This year I used a lot of fall branches. They are my favorite and I can't wait to share my fall decor ideas with you. I am so happy my original painted pumpkin project didn't work because it led me to create this deconstructed easy painted pumpkin! I love it.On The Blog This Week

My Most Popular Post So Far This Month
I know a lot to you have been wondering when my DIY for my wooden table tops was going to appear on my blog. I am so happy that you liked my tutorial so much!
How to Make My Wood Table Tops
These are the wood table tops shared on my blog this week the DIY to Make my Wood Table Tops that you see here in this photo above. So many of you have thought this is a huge square dining room table. Well, it’s not. It is two wood table tops that I made to fit snugly on top of plastic tables. (You know the cheap kind!) You have asked for this DIY for a long time and I finally shared it this week. I do want to say that your response absolutely blew me away! Thank you.
What’s Coming on My Blog Next Week?
I am excited to share my fall decorating ideas.
Next week I will be finishing the bedroom makeover for the Makeover in a Month challenge. I cannot wait to share it with you.
Plus, I will share a very unique way to make flowers, my favorite fall centerpiece, an amazing DIY homemade wreath, and more.
I look forward to sharing all of this and more with you this coming week.

Thank you, Barbara. I hope you have a great week!
I don’t know about you Lesley but I am so glad fall is around the corner. I’ve had enough of this hot weather. Everything is so much better when the temp. drops a little. Can’t wait to see what you have to share on fall decorations your ideas are all so wonderful. Right now I’m making the hot glue gun stenciled napkins that you’ve made. I only hope they come out as good as yours. Will share on pintrest when I’m done. Have a great day and try to stay cool. XOXO from Corfu Greece.
I would love to know where you got your wooden fruit bowl or one similar to it.:)
