I am finally making progress on the living room. It’s by far the darkest room in our house and only gets used for family events and holidays. I am hoping I can change that. It just might need a new, lighter coat of paint.
Are you ready to see my new Project Room? How about we do a little Before and After?
The walls in our master bedroom have been painted a warm kind of off-white yellow since we bought the house in 1998. I decided it was time for a grown up room and chose to paint the walls light gray. Of course, that’s way harder than I thought it was.
Now that the not-so-fun part of my Back Porch makeover is out of the way (i.e. cleaning) it is time to begin the fun part. I saw these hanging shelves on Instagram (thank you @cottonstem) and have been watching them on the Hobby Lobby website. As soon as they went on sale for 50% off I bought two of them right away. I knew they would look fantastic in front of the lattice on each side of the fireplace.
I believe (along with our favorite guy Chip Gaines) that all makeovers should begin with a demo-day. Unfortunately, this one began with a cleaning day.
