When people ask me “What style decor is your home?”, I always answer “Vintage flea market decor”. It’s true. I am sure the majority of the items in my home were bought at a flea market. I have been shopping at vintage flea markets for about thirty years and today I am going to share with you some of my insider tips to flea market shopping.
If you look at the photo of our back porch, there are twenty-two items in this photo that I bought at a flea market. So trust me, I know how to shop a flea market.
I have been to a few flea markets in the past month and done a lot of shopping. I know I am really bad at sharing all of my final purchases. My friend Judy from @vintagejunktionla stopped by our home today. If you aren’t familiar with Vintage Junktion LA, then you need to be. Judy has a warehouse in East Los Angeles which is like the Rose Bowl Flea market all under one roof. She has great merchandise and wonderful prices and I love visiting her warehouse. I have purchased many items (pictured in the photo above) from her warehouse including the trunk I used for my living room coffee table, vintage books, wicker and wood table and white milk jug in my living room. I also purchased all of my vintage books and this green box I use to store my quilts.
