Mother’s Day Gifts for Mom

There are only a few weeks until Mother’s Day so I thought I would share some fun Mother’s Day gifts for mom!

Romantic Dinner in Front of the Fireplace

Ok, so don’t laugh. When I decided I wanted to create gift guides for Mother’s Day I thought it would be fun to select different categories for moms highlighting what they like to do. You know, the perfect guides for Mother’s Day gifts for mom.

I selected crafting, decorating, reading, entertaining, gardening, cooking, and the love of the color pink.

Hmmm, can you guess where I came up with these categories?

Well, they are all of my favorite things!

I created gift guides for each of the categories. I also highlighted my favorite items. Just click on any of the links to find all of the items.

Of course, all of these items work well for birthday lists and things to buy any day of the week!

So here we go!

Mothers Day Gifts for Moms Who Love to Craft Gift Guide

I love every single gift item in this list and all would make great Mother’s day gifts for mom. But I did have to mention these two.

Cricut Maker – This is one of my favorite tools that I use when crafting. It is a perfect Mother’s Day gift because it is on sale right now on Amazon and it is hardly ever on sale!

For the mom who loves to craft, this tool will raise the bar on crafts she can make. When I made paper flowers for all of the centerpieces at my son’s rehearsal dinner, I never could have done it without my Cricut Maker. It was a beautiful evening and I was so proud that I had made all of the flowers myself!

Lia Griffith’s Book Crepe Paper Flowers, The Beginner’s Guide to Making and Arranging Beautiful Blooms For the mother who loves to craft, this book is a must. Lia Griffith is literally the queen of paper flowers. Her books are a wealth of information with instructions on how to make crepe paper flowers that literally look real. They are fun to make, last forever, and are a wonderful craft for any level of crafter.

Mothers Who Love to Read Gift Guide

Every single night when I get in bed, I read my kindle. Sometimes I read for an hour, but most night I read for about ten minutes. I love to read and I just wish I had more time to read!

Kindle with Built in Front Light As I mentioned, I read a lot and read every night before I go to sleep. My Kindle is easy to take with me, to the beach, outside on the patio and with the front light, in bed at night without bothering my husband. Downloading books rather than lugging them around with me is one of my favorite things. Both books and magazines are downloadable. If you are like me and dog-ear pages in magazines, you can mark pages easily in the Kindle. For Mothers Who Love to Read, the Kindle is both a thoughtful and liberating gift.

French Country Cottage Inspired Gatherings Courtney Allison is one of the most talented people I know. Her tables are laden with gorgeousness and her photography is impeccable. Every page in her book sets a scene for incredible tablescapes and unique settings for entertaining. This book is the quintessential coffee table book, one you will pick up over and over and get lost in the beauty of the pages.

Mothers Who Love to Decorate Gift Guide

I love to decorate and small decor items make such wonderful Mother’s day gifts for mom.

Apothecary Jars I have recently become obsessed with apothecary jars. They are amazing for displaying decorative items and flowers and serve as a vehicle for adding color, height, and texture to any room. They can be used in every room in your house, I use them in my laundry room, kitchen, dining room, and living room. I have several sets in my craft room, they are so versatile and fun to style with. I highly recommend these as a gift that your mom will use over and over.

Round Decorative Tray I love this tray, it is so versatile. I have used it in my living room to display items on a coffee table, on my kitchen island to hold olive oil, salt and pepper and items I use frequently when cooking and to hold candles in the dining room. There truly is no limit on places your mom could use this tray.

Mothers Who Love to Entertain Gift Guide

I get so much pleasure entertaining my family and friends. All of the items here would be a great gift for mom.

This category is hard to find just a few items to highlight, I love them all!

Hyacinth Woven Placemats i use these placemats/chargers all, the, time. They are one of my favorites to use in so many different entertaining scenarios. In the kitchen, on the patio, in the dining room, on our Waco porch. Whether formal or informal, these placemats/chargers help create a beautiful table.

Marble Charcuterie Board charcuterie boards are all the rage and I love this one because it is marble with a stylish gold band. It’s a little different from the average charcuterie board and elevates the items displayed. Such a fun way to make something extra special.

Mothers Who Love to Garden Gift Guide

I did a lot of gardening this past week. I love it but it’s hard! And I need more gardening stuff. So this list is pretty much my “wish list”!

Garden Tools Set I love this set, it has everything you need for storage, gardening, weeding, raking, shoveling and troweling all in one set. Whether your mom is a seasoned gardener or a beginning gardener, this set will be loved!

Utility Garden Wagon One of the most important things about gardening is being able to have everything you need to garden with in one place. This utility garden wagon allows me to load everything I need into it and pull it around behind me so that I am not making trips back and forth and back and forth. This wagon is a life saver, especially if you have a large yard.

Mothers Who Love to Cook Gift Guide

I actually own most of the items on this list. I spend a lot of time cooking and having the right tools is a must!

Pasta Maker once you have made your own pasta, you will never go back to pasta from a box. With the right tools, pasta is so easy to make and there is nothing like fresh pasta. For moms who love to cook, a pasta maker is a thoughtful gift.

Staub French Oven for moms who love to cook, the Staub french oven is an incredible gift. Staub is known as one of the highest rated brands for cookware. It is known for even temperature management and ease in care and cleaning. One of those items you wouldn’t buy for yourself but would love to have.

Mothers Who Love Pink Gift Guide

This winter I became obsessed with the color pink. I doubt I will tire of it. It is such a fun color!

Mosser Glass Pitcher I added pink as an accent color in January and have absolutely loved having it my home. Living in a house with four boys, I haven’t had a lot of pink in the house before. Now that my boys are grown, I am loving pink. This pink pitcher is so pretty for water on the table or for use as a vase for flowers.

Pink Embossed Glassware These glasses set such a pretty table. Whether an informal breakfast table, tea out on the porch, or on a formal dinner table, these glasses would be perfect!

I have a 100 year old house,,,, had to cut out two trees to put in a new septic leach field thing,,,, so now the sun Just Hits back there first thing in the morning and there’s no shade to be had in the backyard I’m trying to come up with some ideas on how to do landscaping and sprucing up the backyard with lights fire pitch I just I’m lost I don’t know what to do I need help

    1. Carla, plant something fast growing. I don’t know where you live, but here in the South, we use crepe myrtles. Crepe myrtles love sun, and are fairly fast growing. The “Natchez” is white, and, at maturity, has beautiful cinnamon colored bark. I never, ever, trim my crepe myrtles – at least not in the fashion called “crepe-murder” by Southern Living garden editor, Steve Bender.
