Tiramisu, the beloved Italian dessert, has long been a favorite for its rich, creamy layers and the perfect balance of coffee and cocoa flavors. This classic dessert has seen many variations over the years, but few are as seasonally delightful as the Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu: A Delicious Fall Twist in a Springform Pan

Five small dessert cups filled with layered pumpkin mousse and topped with whipped cream, surrounded by yellow autumn leaves on a white surface.

In today’s post, I’m sharing a fun twist on one of my favorite desserts—tiramisu.

We’ll chat a little about why it’s such a classic (and so loved all over the world!), plus I’m including a dairy-free version for anyone with dietary restrictions.

And because I couldn’t resist giving it a seasonal update, I made a Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu that’s not only delicious but also beautiful. It’s made in a springform pan with ladyfingers lining the edge, which makes it look extra special—perfect for your next fall gathering.

The History of Tiramisu

Tiramisu, which loosely translates to “pick me up” in Italian, is one of those desserts that just makes you smile. Its exact beginnings are a little fuzzy, but most believe it first appeared in the Veneto region of Italy sometime in the 1960s or 70s.

It didn’t take long for this delicious creation to spread across Italy—and then around the world.

Classic tiramisu is all about layers: coffee-soaked ladyfingers, a creamy mixture of mascarpone and eggs, and a light dusting of cocoa on top.

The combination of rich coffee, smooth mascarpone, and that touch of cocoa bitterness is what makes it so irresistible. It’s simple, decadent, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Tiramisu is such a favorite because it has the most wonderful balance of flavors and textures. The light, airy ladyfingers pair perfectly with the rich, creamy mascarpone filling, and the coffee-soaked layers add just the perfect depth of flavor.

Top it all off with a hint of sweetness, and you’ve got a dessert that’s truly hard to resist.

Why Tiramisu is a Perfect Dessert

Three glasses of pumpkin mousse topped with dollops of whipped cream are surrounded by scattered yellow leaves on a white surface.

One of the things I love most about tiramisu is how versatile it is. It works just as well as the star of a fancy dinner party as it does for a casual family dessert.

Those rich, creamy layers are indulgent but never too heavy, which makes it the perfect treat any time of year.

The coffee and cocoa flavors pair beautifully with an after-dinner espresso—or even a glass of dessert wine if you want to make it extra special.

And the best part? Tiramisu is a make-ahead dessert. It needs several hours (or even overnight) in the fridge, which means the flavors have plenty of time to come together. I love that it’s not only delicious but also stress-free when entertaining!

Introducing Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu in a Glass Jar

Individual dessert cups filled with layers of creamy pumpkin mousse, whipped cream, and crumbled cookies, garnished with dollops of whipped cream. Dried orange leaves scattered on the table.

As soon as the leaves start to turn and the air gets that crisp fall feeling, I find myself craving all things pumpkin spice. This Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu combines the cozy flavors of a pumpkin spice latte with the creamy, layered goodness of classic tiramisu.

I decided to make this version in a glass dish with ladyfingers lining the edge, and the result is just as beautiful as it is delicious. It’s the perfect dessert to serve when you want something that feels a little extra special for fall gatherings.

Yield: six individual one cup servings

Individual Pumpkin Spice Latte Tiramisu

Six cups of pumpkin mousse topped with whipped cream are arranged on a white marble surface, surrounded by decorative fall leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Optional: whipped cream and caramel drizzle for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the cooled coffee, 2 tbsp of sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Set aside.
  2. Make the Pumpkin Mascarpone Filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, remaining sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and softened mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. Whip the Cream: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pumpkin mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Tiramisu in the Springform Pan:
  • Create the Base Layer: Begin by arranging the ladyfingers at the bottom of the glasses. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly before placing it in the pan, sugar side facing outward.
  • Add the Pumpkin Mascarpone Layer: Spread half of the pumpkin mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers at the bottom. Smooth it out evenly.
  • Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture, followed by the remaining pumpkin mascarpone mixture.
  • Chill and Serve: Cover the springform pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld. Before serving, carefully remove the springform pan ring and dust the top with cocoa powder. For an extra touch of indulgence, top with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.

  4. Assemble the Tiramisu into individual glasses:
  • Cut the Ladyfingers: Lay the ladyfingers flat and cut around the edge of the jars to make the base layer.
  • Create the Base Layer: Dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture and lay them flat at the bottom of the pan to form the base layer.
  • Add the Pumpkin Mixture: Spread half of the pumpkin mixture over the ladyfingers at the bottom. Smooth it out evenly.
  • Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the pumpkin mixture, followed by the remaining pumpkin mixture.
  1. Chill and Serve: Cover the springform pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Before serving, carefully remove the springform pan ring, dust with cocoa powder, and add coconut whipped cream and caramel drizzle if desired.
