How to Host a Stress Free Bridal Shower

This post has been sponsored by Huhtamaki, Inc. makers of the Chinet® brand. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Most of you are aware that I have had a lot of wedding blog posts featuring lots of wedding events as we were preparing for my son’s wedding. One comment I received over and over was that many of you are busy, don’t own a large number of plates, and yet still want to host a bridal shower for a close friend or relative. Today I am going to show how you can host a bridal shower that works for any size group and is easy to prepare and clean up.

For a bridal luncheon or shower, why not use Chinet® Cut Crystal® collection which is the only fully coordinated line of disposable tableware? It is made of premium plastic and comes in a fully coordinated line of plates, cups, cutlery, and wine glasses. Plus, the Chinet® brand makes serving and cleanup easy, so you can spend more time with friends, family, and guests. Nothing is worse than have tons of dishes to wash after your event is over. This is a perfect solution – just toss when done!

In the photo below, I used the Chinet® Cut Crystal® dinner plate, the Chinet® Cut Crystal® dessert plate, the Chinet® Cut Crystal® 14-ounce cup, the Chinet® Cut Crystal® 9-ounce cup, the Chinet® Cut Crystal® stemless wine glass, and the Chinet® Cut Crystal® cutlery. Check out the Chinet® Cut Crystal® product page for more specifics.

For your table cloth, head to your local fabric store and buy a few yards of fabric to use as your tablecloth. I made this ruffled tablecloth out of burlap. But if you want to make a tablecloth, measure your table, add enough for the cloth to hang over the edge of your table and cut off the edges of the fabric for a clean cut. That’s all it takes for an easy and inexpensive table cloth! (If you like to sew you can hem the edges, but it’s certainly not necessary.)

I made these flowers out of crepe paper but you can certainly buy some great flowers at the grocery store and use them as your centerpieces.

  2. Your table looks beautiful and I love the bottles that the flowers are in! Any chance I could find them in Fort Worth, Texas?!?!

  3. I really enjoy following your blog posts, but was a little surprised that you are promoting the use of disposable plastic- and in such great quantity!
Most environmentally conscience people are moving away from plastic. Please consider the environmental impact when you partner up with companies.
