We installed the pergola and styled this entire outdoor dining area. I loved sitting at this outdoor dining table and it felt like we were at a garden table. Isn’t this the most wonderful spot for dining?

How to Create a Special Outdoor Dining Area
Today is Day One of my Thirty Days of Summer for the month of June!
I am so excited to share a new dining area I created with Bed Bath and Beyond at our home in Waco, Texas. As much as we love to dine on the porch, I thought it might be fun to create another outdoor dining area at our Waco home.
So I added this amazing wood pergola from Bed Bath and Beyond and the entire dining area underneath. Isn’t this just wonderful?
I went with a green theme because this spot feels like we are dining in the garden. The roses are from the local grocery store and everything else is from Bed Bath and Beyond.
The rectangle table seats six perfectly and I actually enjoyed breakfast out here on Sunday morning. It was like dining with the birds as the bird chirping and atmosphere was incredible.

Absolutely gorgeous.
I live in northern Indiana. We experience quite a bit of insects during our summer months (mosquitoes, flies, bees). Just using citronella candles and oils are not enough to ward off those pesky little creatures. What are your suggestions?
I have made a cloth curtain around my outdoor areas to attempt to keep bugs out. Unfortunately, it is tough to completely get rid of them.

I’m also a Texas girl and we have quite a time battling flies, mosquitos, and more, when there is food outside.

I have found that this pergola and similar ones are around $1,000 to $2,000! Thankfully, we had help setting ours up and it is weighted at the bottom so it doesn’t tip over!
