Fall Room Decor Ideas for Every Home
Now that it is almost Fall, I am sharing some of my favorite fall room decor ideas that I have used to decorate our home.
I love fall colors; adding them to our home adds an instant pop of color. Fall room decor does not have to be any more complicated than color. See what a difference it made over the years in our home!
Family Room Fall Decor
Our family room is such a happy place. It has 10′ ceilings and a wall of French windows and doors that allow the most beautiful light to flood inside. The room is filled with neutral basics: a sectional and chair with white slipcovers, a very neutral rug, and a dining table and chairs. The family room is open to the kitchen, so it is the hub of our home.
When all our children are home, this is the room where you will find us … sitting and chatting, playing a game, eating at the table, or watching sports or movies.
The neutral palette allows me to add fall room decor with the simple addition of color. Whether it is pillow covers, faux fall foliage, or my favorite copper and gold accents, the room comes alive with color.

Kitchen Fall Decor
Our kitchen was renovated over twenty years ago, but thanks to its classic design and neutral colors, it still looks relevant and timeless.
Our kitchen is one of my favorite rooms to decorate for fall. The wall space is painted cooking apple green. All of the paint colors in our home can be found here.
The soft green and neutral white cabinet colors also crave adding color, and fall looks spectacular in the kitchen. Adding just a few fall foliage stems, and voila when you look at a picture of the kitchen, you can almost smell the apple pie in the oven.
Dining Room Fall Decor
Our dining room is painted a beautiful latte color that looks incredible with fall room decor. Copper and rose gold are two of my favorite elements to add to a room, and they make fall room decor look simply spectacular. If you add one color for fall, try copper or rose gold!
Living Room Fall Decor
Once it cools off enough to use the fireplace in our living room, this is one of our favorite places to spend a quiet evening, reading a book by the fire with a glass of red wine. The faux fall foliage and orange tones I used in the living room warm the room and accent the brick around the fireplace.
Cranberry glass is one of my favorite things to collect (see my post about my obsession with cranberry glass here). It looks simply amazing with fall room decor. Someone sent me a link to the cranberry glass punchbowl pictured above, and I bought it! It is literally one of my favorite pieces. You might not have recognized it because I don’t serve a lot of punch, so I use it as a vase!
Back Porch Fall Decor
September is one of the warmest months in Los Angeles, so we still spend much time on our back porch. The fall colors look so beautiful against the green grass and brick fireplace.
I used copper, oranges, reds, and pinks out on the back porch, and even though it will be 96 degrees here next week, at least the back porch looks like fall!
