Today’s post is my chance to share the start of the tile installation. There are electricians, plumbers, tile installers and drywall installers all working on this space at the same time. It’s absolutely crazy but it is the only way this project will be done by the deadline.
Last week I spent a week in Waco. Most of the time was spent at our home but I did manage a quick trip to Round Top to do some antique shopping. I found so many wonderful things and I can’t wait to show you everything when it’s in the house.
I wanted to share with you the location in our home of the master bath. It’s on the left in the very back area of the house, which is an addition. Isn’t this rendering adorable?
As you can see we have made progress on the tile installation. The floor is installed. Next comes insulation and drywall.
I decided to install the tile on the Windsor diagonal on the floor and I am so glad I made that choice. This looks so great.
Oops. I forgot to mention these photographs are courtesy of my contractor. So that is why they are a little blurry. I am so sorry! And no worries, as I am heading back to Waco on Monday.
Can I tell you how much I love this tile? It’s called Windsor and the design is amazing.
Here you can see the steps of laying the floor tile.
Don’t tell my contractor, but I am really impressed with how quickly this is coming along. He needs to think I am still holding him to the deadlines.
If you peek inside (through the framing) then you can tell what’s happening in the master bathroom
Of course, this is the installed tie without the grout.
This Jeffrey Court Challenge is so much fun! Now don’t forget to vote!
