Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Bar
I created this Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Bar with very cute marshmallow trees. The trees look great and taste delicious!
Who doesn’t love a hot chocolate bar? I know I do! I added some pink marshmallow trees to make the hot chocolate bar even more festive.
It’s fun to create new ideas. I have seen some Hot Chocolate Bars with large marshmallow trees but I was thinking that tiny trees might be a fun alternative. Especially if they had pink marshmallows. So what do you think?
Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate Bar
I made this very fun pink marshmallow hot chocolate bar and I think you are going to love it.
It’s been quite cold outside and the best way to warm up for the holidays is with hot chocolate. I have seen some very clever ways to feature marshmallows for hot chocolate lately, so I came up with my own idea for my pink marshmallow hot chocolate bar.
I set up the pin marshmallow hot chocolate bar on one of the side tables in the Carriage House. We are planning to dine out here during the holidays and how wonderful would a Pink Marshmallow Hot Chocolate be located right next to the dining table!
To set up the trees, I used one of my white trays and filled it with new and vintage pink ornaments.
I made the tall sparkled pink trees in the background, and you can find that DIY here.
How to Make the Pink Marshmallow Trees
These little Pink Christmas Marshmallow trees were so easy to make.
Here is what you need to make the trees.
- mini styrofoam tree (see links below)
- marshmallows
- toothpicks
1 – Cut the toothpicks so that the pick won’t stick out of the end of the marshmallow. I cut off about ¾” on each toothpick with some heavy-duty kitchen scissors.
2 – Place the sharp end of the toothpick into the top of the small cone and press it in far enough so that the remaining length is less than the height of the marshmallow. Place one marshmallow on the toothpick.
3 – Determine your pattern for the marshmallow tree. I made one by alternating the color of every marshmallow. Unfortunately, the colors didn’t quite match up once I went all the way around the tree. I think it is easier to alternate the colors by rows. Of course, there are lots of designs you can do. But don’t forget, you can place the marshmallows randomly too!
4 – I made three marshmallow trees from the two bags which are perfect for ten to twelve people enjoying hot chocolate.

Recipes for Hot Chocolate
When we were kids my mom made hot chocolate all of the time. It was always such a treat, even despite the frequency. I remember two different types of hot chocolate. One was made with a packet of hot chocolate and hot water. But my favorite was warm milk and Nestle’s Quik!
I love making homemade hot chocolate and I thought I would share a recipe that is gluten-free. Many of the hot chocolate packets are not gluten-free so making your own is best.
You can make this recipe dairy-free if you substitute the milk with Almond, Oat, or Coconut milk.
