How to Host the Perfect Galentine’s Day Party
This week, my amazing team member Devon hosted the ultimate Galentine’s Day Party, and it was everything you’d expect—fun, festive, and filled with delicious treats and creative activities.
There’s nothing quite like celebrating friendship, laughter, and all things pink with your favorite group of gals. From glittery French 75s to heart-shaped mini cakes and DIY bracelets, every detail was carefully planned to make the evening special.

The Perfect Galentine’s Day Party

If you’re looking for ideas to host your Galentine’s Day gathering, I’m sharing everything Devon did and tips to make it an unforgettable event!
Setting the Scene for Galentine’s Day

The girls arrived around 6:00 PM, and the evening started with a glamorous toast—because what’s a Galentine’s party without a bit of bubbly? Devon served Pink French 75s with edible pink glitter and the most gorgeous rose petal ice cubes.

It was an instant hit. The way the glitter sparkled in the glass made it feel extra celebratory, and the floral ice cubes added the prettiest touch. Of course, everyone took plenty of pictures, both solo and with the group, because an event this cute needs to be documented!

Pink French 75 Recipe
If you want to recreate this dazzling cocktail, here’s the exact recipe Devon used.
Pink French 75
Ingredients
- 🍸 2 Cups Beefeater Gin
- 🍋 1 Cup Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 🍬 ¾ Cup Simple Syrup
- 🥂 1 Bottle of Prosecco (Lamarca works great!)
- 🧊 Ice cubes with pink roses (made using square ice cube molds)
- ✨ Pink edible glitter (found on Amazon)
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
- Shake well and strain into a coupe or champagne flute.
- Top with chilled Prosecco.
- Sprinkle in pink edible glitter for a magical shimmer.
- Garnish with a rose petal ice cube and enjoy!
Heart-Shaped Cake Decorating

After toasting and sipping cocktails, Devon jumped into one of the night’s highlights: decorating 4-inch mini heart cakes. This was such a fun and interactive activity, and everyone’s creativity shined!
The Cake Setup

Devon had prepared the cakes in advance using Funfetti cake mix (because, let’s be honest, it’s a classic). The silicone heart molds she used came in three different sizes: 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch. For this party, she focused on decorating the mini 4-inch cakes, which were the perfect individual size.
Buttercream Frosting & Decorating Fun

To make decorating easy, Devon whipped up a batch of her signature buttercream frosting and divided it into four gorgeous shades:
💖 Soft Pink
💗 Hot Pink
❤️ Red
💜 Purple

Each color was placed in a separate piping bag with a different tip to create various textures and designs.

Buttercream Frosting Recipe
🥄 3 sticks of salted butter
🥛 2 tablespoons oat milk (or any dairy/non-dairy milk)
🍚 3 ½ – 4 cups powdered sugar
🧂 Pinch of salt
🍦 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Beat butter until fluffy.
- Add 2 cups of powdered sugar and mix well.
- Add oat milk, vanilla, and salt, then continue beating.
- Slowly mix in the remaining powdered sugar until smooth.
Cake Decorating & Sweet Treats

Everyone spent about an hour chatting, laughing, and frosting their cakes while sipping drinks and munching snacks. Devon went all out with the heart-shaped candy—she bought every single one she could find! Some gals used them for decorating, while others just enjoyed eating them straight from the bowls (no judgment!).
Everyone’s cakes turned out adorable, and no two were alike. Some went for elegant piping designs, while others loaded up on sprinkles and candy for a fun, whimsical look. It was such a low-stress, high-fun activity, and it made for the perfect Galentine’s night tradition.

DIY Bracelet Making

As if cake decorating wasn’t fun enough, Devon’s friend Kayla brought a bracelet-making kit, and it was the perfect way to wind down after the sugar rush.
Each gal got to create their own personalized bracelets using an assortment of pink, red, and gold beads—because nothing says Galentine’s like cute, handmade jewelry! Some girls made initial bracelets, while others went for fun sayings like “XOXO”, “Bestie”, or even “Rosé All Day”. Devon made her daughter, Poppy, a bracelet in the picture above!
DIY bracelet-making was such a sweet touch to the party because everyone got to take home a wearable keepsake. It also gave everyone more time to chat and enjoy each other’s company before wrapping up the night.
Why This Was the Ultimate Galentine’s Party

Everything about this evening was intentional, thoughtful, and full of love. From the glittery cocktails to the creative cake decorating and bracelet-making, the entire night was centered around celebrating friendships in the best way possible.
If you’re thinking of hosting your own Galentine’s Day Party, here are some key takeaways:
💖 Start with a signature cocktail – A Pink French 75 with glitter and rose ice cubes is a showstopper!
🍰 Plan a hands-on activity – Cake decorating is perfect because it’s creative, fun, and delicious.
🎨 Provide a variety of decorating supplies – Having different piping tips, frosting colors, and candy makes it unique.
📸 Encourage lots of pictures – Pretty drinks, cute cakes, and fun outfits deserve to be captured!
🎭 Have a secondary craft activity – DIY bracelets were the perfect finishing touch.
Galentine’s Day Party

Devon truly outdid herself in hosting this fabulous Galentine’s Day Party, a beautiful reminder of how special it is to celebrate friendships. Whether you go all out with a thoroughly planned event or gather a few friends for cocktails and conversation, the important thing is making time for the people who lift you up.
If you’re inspired to throw your Galentine’s Day party, I’d love to hear about it! What fun ideas would you add? Let Devon and I know in the comments!
Happy Galentine’s!
