Easy DIY Spring Wallpaper Table Runner
I love setting a table when I can use something unexpected. This table was inspired by a table runner made out of spring wallpaper.
You might have noticed the phrase DIY in the title. Can I just say that this is the easiest DIY I have ever shared? All it involves is picking out a roll of spring wallpaper and laying it on a table for a runner.
Spring Wallpaper Table Runner
For all of you who follow my blog and might feel intimidated by some of the craft projects I take on, this one is for you. This was literally the easiest DIY I have ever done!
Ready to learn about my easiest DIY ever, here are the step by step directions:
- Order a super cute peel and stick spring wallpaper from Amazon
- Unroll the wallpaper
- Tape the ends of the wallpaper underneath the ends of the table to secure it.
- Done!
The peel and stick craze is so much fun and there are so many really amazing wallpapers to choose from. I actually ordered two different rolls of spring wallpaper because I couldn’t decide which one to use!
Building a Tablescape Around the Spring Wallpaper Colors
As soon as I rolled out the pink wallpaper, I knew that it was the perfect one for a spring table. It is called Watercolor Cactus and measures 17.7″ x 9.8′. The farmhouse table in the carriage house is really long, and it fits perfectly on the table. I just tucked the edges underneath the ends of the table and taped them down so the wallpaper wouldn’t roll itself back up.
The wallpaper set the tones for the table with its pinks and blues. I will be honest, I am not necessarily a fan of pink and blue together. This table has made me change my mind about mixing these colors together.
I love the blue open weave placemats I got at Hobby Lobby. In true Hobby Lobby fashion, they are 40% off, so only $1.79 per placemat! Next, I also used some vintage blue glass salad plates that I picked up at the Rose Bowl a few months ago.
I was a little concerned that the blue glass plates turned a little bit gray when placed on top of the pink plates, but it was actually the same color tone in the wallpaper, so it was perfect!
I love the way the whitewashed chargers look on this vintage table because it is imperfectly perfect! My rule is chippy paint inside the house, not on the outside of the house. Hehehe.
The pop of color that the pink water glasses give the table, especially since they are on the wallpaper table runner. I’m not sure if that is actually a term, but I am making it one. A wallpaper table runner!

Pink Wallpaper and Paper Flowers
I did something a little bit different with the flower arrangements. I mixed together some tall branches with some paper peonies that I made and placed them in tall skinny vases. I’m not sure I love them, but I kind of do. What do you think? I’d love your feedback.
Blue and White Spring Table
I also bought this blue and white watercolor polka dot wallpaper so I could set this table with blues and greens. The polka dot is so much fun! I reused some of the items from the previous table setting and just swapped in different plates and some green and clear glassware. What do you think? Which one is your favorite?

Absolutely love the blue and green tablescape. The blue polka dots are so fun! Thanks for sharing this! Must get that walllpaper now!
Thanks! 😊
I seriously cannot pick just one. They are both really cute in different ways. The pink and blue has a lot of fun to it and the blue and green is more muted and serious but also has a bit of fun to it. I would use each depending on the event.
I wallpapered a wall in my bedroom in a pink and grey floral print and took two left over pieces and put them on my nightstands. I’m not going to keep them there but thought it was cute in the moment..lol.
Thanks so much! I know it’s hard to pick!
Love the wallpaper runner idea! Such a great way to put those leftovers to use!

Thanks so much Janine!
What a fun idea and so smart to use peel and stick wall paper or really any wallpaper. It’s about the right width for a runner and it adds so much to the table. I’m absolutely going to do this…I have some in the basement somewhere….
So true! I’m glad you like it. Let me know if you give it a try.
I love setting a pretty table and this is an amazing idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
