DESIGN INSPIRATIONS // Liz Marie Galvan
Today’s design inspiration is all about Liz Marie Galvan. If I ever had to claim an Instagram “hero” it would be her without a doubt. Why? To start, her photos are GORGEOUS and her home is right out of an episode of Fixer Upper. But more than that, she has 208K followers and takes the time to respond to what looks like every. single. comment.
What I’m Inspired By
Every inch of Liz Marie’s home is all about the little details. And I love that. I could stare at this photo for hours and probably never notice every little great detail she’s carefully placed in her dining room. For example, did you notice that her three shabby chic chandeliers are hanging from a ladder?! GENIUS. I thought I was a details person… but looks like I need to step up my details game!
What I’m Inspired By

This area of Liz Marie’s home reminds me a bit of my mudroom area for my boys… but on steroids! From the shiplap to the corbels (stay tuned for a super cool MIY on this soon) and the welcome sign, this area must be such a great spot to walk into every day. Corbels are a farmhouse detail I’ve really been wanting to add into my 100-year-old home and this photo gave me some inspiration on how to do so!
Make sure to check out Liz Marie’s Blog and her super cool shop in Michigan called The Found Cottage which is all vintage finds. It’s amazing. It’s also home to the “gather” sign we were all coveting in last week’s Design Inspirations.

The flowers will give the place a fresher appearance. I enjoy your home décor since it matches the delicate and soft tones of my current home well. I learned a lot by reading your blogs.
All of it is very much appreciated, and I have saved your site to check for new posts

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free.
This is nice to get the issues resolved. We can see how it is providing us the best results. You are good to guide us so we can do it perfectly.
That ladder chandelier setup is definitely a vibe, but I feel like it would be a total nightmare to dust. Good luck keeping those crystals clean.
I completely agree with you about Liz Marie! She’s definitely someone worth following for sure. The chandelier detail you mentioned is incredible – I’ve never seen that before but it’s such a creative way to add character to a space. Her attention to those little details really sets her apart, and you’re so right about the dining room – every time I look at her photos I notice something new. It’s clear she puts a lot of thought and love into every corner of her home. The fact that she takes time to respond to comments makes me appreciate her even more – that’s not something you see very often with accounts that size. Thanks for sharing this inspiration!
I always find Liz’s approach to blending modern comfort with the character of an old home so inspiring. The way she highlighted those original wood floors in your latest post is a perfect example—it respects the history while feeling fresh. It makes me look at the ‘quirks’ in my own older home in a whole new light.

That ladder chandelier idea is wild, but I feel like it would collect dust like crazy. Definitely looks cool in photos though.

The ladder chandelier thing is honestly such a fire hazard waiting to happen, but I guess it looks cool if you’re into the whole Fixer Upper aesthetic.
