Baked brie with jam is a classic and elegant crowd-pleaser appetizer. Today, I am sharing my favorite ways to bake brie.

Cheese lovers have enjoyed baked brie with jam for centuries. This dish has many variations which result in a warm, creamy, and indulgent cheese appetizer that is perfect for entertaining or for a special night in.

How to Make Baked Brie with Jam

Baked brie is a simple and delicious way to enjoy this classic appetizer. The combination of the warm, melted cheese and the sweet jam is sure to be a hit with your guests. Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or just looking for a tasty snack, these baked brie recipes are sure to be crowd-pleasers.

Today, I am also sharing my favorite new brie baking dish that keeps the brie warm for hours and is so, so cute! Keep reading for all of the brie baking dish details.

For these recipes, I am not using puff pastry, just brie with jam and baked brie toppings. And the recipe for both is at the end!

Here are the ingredients for the first recipe.

  • 1 round of Brie Cheese
  • Apricot Jam
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Sugared Pecans

And for the second recipe, here are the ingredients.

  • 1 Round of Brie Cheese
  • Fig Jam
  • Roasted Pistachios

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Place the brie cheese in the center of the brie baking dish.
  3. If the round of brie is too large for your brie baking dish, you can cut the brie into pieces to fit.
  4. Add a 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of jam to the top of the brie.
  5. Add any desired baked brie topping like sugared pecans, pistachios, and dried fruits like cranberries or diced dried apricots.
  6. Bake the brie in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  7. Let the brie cool for a few minutes before serving it with crackers or french bread.

Tips for Baking Brie

The rind of brie cheese is edible. Some people enjoy the rind’s nutty, slightly bitter flavor, while others prefer to remove it. The rind is made of edible white mold that contributes to the flavor and texture of the cheese. I prefer to remove the rind but it’s up to you.

Here are some tips to prepare brie before baking:

  • Cut off the top layer of the rind with a sharp knife, taking care to remove as little of the cheese as possible.
  • You can also use a cheese planer to remove the top layer of rind.
  • A spoon can be used to scrape the top layer of the rind off of the cheese.
  • I like to use a vegetable peeler to remove the top layer of the rind.

    Recently, I learned about a brie baking dish, and I mean to tell you, this baking dish is a game changer. First, it is super cute and comes in several beautiful colors. Second, the lid covers the cheese while it bakes and keeps it warm and melty, also preventing the cheese from drying out.

    The baker is sold as a single baker or for just a little more, two bakers, one to keep and one to gift!

    When using a baked brie crock, keeping an eye on the cheese while it’s baking is essential. Different ovens may require different baking times, so check the cheese every 5 minutes or so to ensure it doesn’t overheat.

    Variations of Baked Brie

    Baked brie is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed with various toppings. Some popular toppings include:
