Many months ago, when our Waco Fixer Upper home was in the early stages of construction, I started planning the furniture for our home. I decided early on I wanted to create the perfect mix of new and vintage modern farmhouse furniture. Why did I start so early? The main reason was due to the amazing partnership I had with Overstock to buy furniture online for our living room and dining room. Of course, the other reason I started early was that I could not wait to determine how I was going to decorate the Waco home!

I am so happy to share with you some new fall decor I have added to our home that I found at JOANN. JOANN has an amazing selection of pillows, blankets, trays, signs, and florals to name a few. These items bring color, texture, and depth to our home and I love it.
Decorating our front porch for the Christmas holidays was a new task for me this year! In previous years I use to hang a fresh wreath and garland and call it a day. But not this year! I had so much fun pulling out the galvanized buckets and combining fresh and faux greens!
Before I started transforming the decor in my home to a farmhouse style, I had a lot of color in my house. My living room was tan with highlights of aqua and my family room was gray, dark red and green. Our master bedroom was themed in yellow with orange highlights. Oh heavens, now that I am writing this I realize how awful it sounds! What was I thinking?
