The weather has been so unpredictable in Southern California these past few weeks that I have been undecided how to add some farmhouse front porch ideas.

Two weeks ago it was in the 40’s. Last week it was in the high 60″s. Later this week it is going to be 84 degrees.

If you add that I haven’t left our home in like, FOREVER, then you should know that my front porch was looking pretty neglected. (And I should admit that I completely forgot to remove the Christmas wreaths in our second-story windows. I actually forgot they were there.)

I didn’t have a wreath for our front door so I decided to do some repurposing.

Look how great my new wreath looks!

It’s a bit hard to see, but our front porch looks so much better and welcoming. It’s the perfect Farmhouse front porch decor.

You might remember the eucalyptus wreath from The Home Depot that I added to The Nutcracker Room that I designed on our back porch.

Just so you know, it was hanging on our back fireplace yesterday. I had kind of forgotten about it. So I grabbed it for my DIY project.

I also had our Christmas DIY Wreath that was, um, still hanging on our front door. The fresh pine was brittle and looked really bad.

So I took off the fruit and selected many of the pieces for my wreath project.

How to Make a Winter/Spring/Summer Wreath

DIY Front Porch Wreath

I love my eucalyptus wreath. It is so perfect for this project.

I also used some of the beaded fruit, some faux peonies and some pink floral sprigs. (Links to all of these items are listed at the end of this post)

Making this wreath is very easy. I started with the peonies and spaced them out on the wreath. Then I stuck the stems of each flower firmly into the base of the wreath. If you can’t attach them firmly then use some green floral wire.

Next, I added the pink spray flowers. Once again, I pushed them securely into the base of the wreath.

I added the beaded fruit and the wreath was done. All that was left was to hang it on our front door.

I used a pink organza ribbon that I found here.

The copper post on our front porch are from Grandin Road. The links are listed at the bottom of this post.

I used fresh flowers for the pots on our front porch. I used pink primrose, geraniums, and bougainvillea.

To be honest, I haven’t actually planted the plants in my pots. I just placed them carefully in the copper planters.

That is a project for this weekend.
