Farmhouse Fall Decor DIY Craft
I had so much fun making pumpkins with napkins that I thought I would try another DIY farmhouse fall decor craft. I love these decor balls!
These were so easy to make I made 14 of these napkin-covered Farmhouse Fall Decor balls. They took less than an hour to complete. Drying time was extra, but don’t they make an excellent farmhouse fall decor DIY?
Fall Decor DIY
It’s quite easy to find fall decor balls in stores. However, most are made of natural materials and very neutral colors.
I wanted some more colorful decor items, so I decided to make some colorful balls with napkins.
I have made many crafts with napkins. Click on any of the titles to learn more.
Colorful Farmhouse Fall Decor
There are so many different ways to use these colorful balls as decor. They look great in the living room and our entryway, in an old wood bread bowl.
I love to use these as scatter. What is scatter? It is all the fun and colorful items I use on a table to add flair!

How to Make Farmhouse Fall Decor Balls
I may have made fourteen balls, but as you can see, you only need a few to use as decor.
Materials List
You don’t need many items to make these balls. All you need are foam balls, Mod Podge, paper napkins, and a paintbrush.
Look how easy these are to make!
- one – Gently remove the extra ply of the napkin off the back. Napkins often have one or two sheets of paper on the back.
- two – Cut the napkin in half to easily cover the foam ball.
- three – Add a few teaspoons of water to the Mod Podge to thin it out. Cover the ball with Mod Podge.
- four – Center the ball on top of the napkin.
- five – Pull up the sides of the napkin and start to cover the ball on all sides.
- six – Gently cover the ball with more Mod Podge and flatten the napkin on the ball with the paintbrush.
Let the balls dry on parchment paper or plastic plates.
I know these napkins are great for making fall decor. I also have some black and white, blue and white, and pink and white that I can’t wait to use later.

I like the idea of decoupaging the foam orbs and not necessarily waiting for pumpkins or Easter eggs. Thanks for the tip!
