Creating a Window Wall with Old Windows
I love collecting old windows. My latest project is creating a wall of vintage windows on our family room wall.

I have a thing for white old windows. In fact, I have been buying them for quite some time. The only problem is, I haven’t been good about finding a way to use them in my house.
I keep buying them at flea markets and decided I need to find a way to use them in our home. I am finally making progress.
I am really excited about how these look hung on a wall in our living room. A month ago, I hung these leaded windows. I love this!
I bought these for $25 each at the Long Beach flea market.
Then I saw how my friend Erin @cottonstem hung her white windows and I knew I wanted to do something similar. Erin has an awesome tutorial on how to hang the these. Be sure and check it out.
I am so glad she made this so easy by showing how to hang the windows. Basically, you need really long screws! That is because when you layer them some of the front windows need longer screws to hang in front of those behind them.

The long screws allow you to layer the windows and hang them. I love how they look on the wall.

Next, I found some great faux greens at Hobby Lobby. I wanted something neutral so I could use them year round.

I loosely arranged some bouquets. Next, I secured the “bouquets” with some wire. Be sure and leave extra wire (about 8″) on each piece.

Next, I added a thumbtack to the windows for hanging the bouquets. Place the thumbtacks at the exact point where the wire will be located when you hang the bouquets.

It was easy to attach the greens to the windows with the tail of the wire. It almost looks invisible.

I absolutely love how this looks!

And here is the finished look in our family room.

Just love the way you layered these windows! I have a large area on LR wall and I may try to something similar. Our walls are white, though … and I am wondering about the ‘white on white’ with the windows. I’ll have to buy one and see! Thanks for this great idea!
I have always admired this window wall in your home. I’ve wanted to try it, but wasn’t sure how. Now, thanks to you tutorial, I can! Thank you so much, Leslie, for sharing! ( now to hunt for windows! 🙂 🙂 )
Where did you find the windows? I can’t find them anywhere!
How do you hang the wreaths?
I could not find that post –
Thank you
The directions show wire wrapped around the wreath with 8 inches of tail and a thumbtack on one of the panes and then you wrap the wire around the thumbtack. 🙂
